Two weeks ago, I was invited to visit Vietura Aethetic Lifestyle at Sofitel Manila which was opened to public last March 5, 2013. Vietura originated from the words Vie– French for life and tura– Latin for natural. It’s a health and aesthetic institute that focuses on a holistic approach when it comes to beauty & wellness. It provides 100% non-invasive and non-surgical treatments that are custom-made for each of their clients. Since Vietura is about holistic approach, they also offer nutritional counseling and life coaching and lives by their three-step philosophy: Measure-Mentor-Monitor. They encourage beneficial lifestyle changes beyond superficial improvements and monitors their client’s progress and setbacks. Overall wellness and lifestyle are their main concern.
At VIETURA, we understand that it isn’t always what’s on the surface that matters. It’s about finding the interconnection between aesthetic procedures, integrative medicine and lifestyle coaching. It’s taking a complete approach to your health and wellness so that you can achieve a holistic balance in your life. It’s about going beyond cutting corners and quick fixes with non-invasive procedures that still present you with results that satisfy and fulfill your goals.
Upon entering, I was taken aback at how the interior looks. It spells of nature and serenity. You’ll be completely drawn at how relaxing and inviting Vietura is especially with the vertical plants (which are real ha) located in almost all of the rooms.
I fell in love with how the waiting room was designed. The elements of modernity mixed with classic pieces echoed with nature. If I had a big house, I’d definitely put up a receiving area like this. It felt like I was transported to a different place. Somewhere far from the hustle and bustle of the city. A remote place where I can let go and relax and be one with nature.
It all starts in the consultation room. I was assessed here soon after I went into a semi-stealth mode, I blame my Spiral lunch buffet. I was measured and weighed so they can check my BMI, and if my weight-height ratio is proportioned. The result was quite pleasant than I expected (I always go for the worst). For a mom of two my body was okay, I am back to my pre-preggy weight of 118 lbs. but I wanted to be toned and lose at least three more pounds.
Vietura also offers cosmetic dentistry, enhancing and beautifying your pearly whites even more. They also have a room for Colonics treatment. I wanted to try that because I know I need that kind of cleansing with all the food I’ve been eating but I just couldn’t get to bring myself to do it. Maybe next time? heehee.
Anyhow, this room is where I had my treatment. Because I’m still breastfeeding, my consultant Ellen suggested I do facial cleaning followed by a diamond peel to further remove dead skin cells, promoting a more smooth skin. Since they wanted me to experience their non-surgical treatments, I tried the Ultralipo (Ultrasonic Cavitation). It was a 30-minute (or more) treatment that uses vibration to create sound waves that produce strong pressure targeting fat cell membrane thus, they explode into some kind of liquid content which passes through one’s urine or sweat.
True enough, my attending nurse (yes, the people who will do your treatments are all certified nurses so you can ask any medical related questions- like myths and truths about sweaty palms aka pasma and such heehee) said that I should expect frequent trips to the bathroom as I will pee a lot after the session. I also found myself more thirsty & sweat twice as much. I only assumed I have a lot of fat cells on my belly. Eeeeep!
Thank you Vietura for the lovely afternoon of beautification and being one with nature even for a short while.
