Pre-measured spices can be a mom’s secret tool in whipping up delicious food. Here’s another pre-measured spices from McCormick.
We didn’t have tortillas that time and the husband prefers rice over bread for dinner so it’s technically not fajitas. Also, because I’m not a fan of citrus based dishes I experimented and opted to just give this dish a hint of sour taste. Note that I experimented on this dish and didn’t exactly follow the recipe.
Here’s wachunid:
(2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 medium size onion and red bell pepper (thinly sliced), 1/2 tsp. salt, 3-5 pcs. of calamansi (instead of lime & orange) juice, 1/2 kilo chicken fillet, 2 tbsp. olive oil)
Step 1: Mix all the spices and add the calamansi juice
Put the chicken and mix it. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2: Fry chicken in 2 tbsp. olive oil.
Step 3: Add in the onion and red bell pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
I just did a little Jamie Oliver technique and covered the pan with foil to help cook the chicken even after removing from heat.
Viola!
