Hello! Another recipe post finally *hooray*
Sharing with you all an easy chicken adobo recipe.
Here’s whatchunid:
1/2 kilo chicken fillet (or you can use whatever part of chicken you prefer)
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1 head of garlic
3-5 pieces of bay leaf (laurel leaves)
a teaspoon of pepper corn
4 tablespoons (olive) oil
salt and pepper to taste
Three easy peasy steps:
![IMG_6825](http://gojackiego.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/IMG_6825-300x300.jpg)
step 1: saute garlic in oil until golden brown, add chicken and saute until slightly cooked (brownish) then add vinegar, soy sauce and water.

step 3: put in the bay leaves and peppercorn and let it boil for 5 minutes. Then cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
Noticed how I added the boiled eggs in (pardon for not taking out the shell, I don’t like my eggs colored LOL) I semi-boiled them instead of fully boiling them on their own, so that part of the flavor seeps into the eggs.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Others like to add cornstarch to thicken the sauce if you want to, dissolve 2 tbsp. of cornstarch in water.
If you prefer your adobo dry, you can simmer it until sauce dries up.
Yay! Hope you liked it!
That’s all!
adobo Chinese style – we have this often at home! 😉 less vinegar, and we add brown sugar
Yes! Loba! heehee I love it. I actually made one the other day. Haven’t taken photos of it though.
