Today’s Outfitey: Flowy Flutter-sleeved Top

Finally, another outfitey post but this time I’m showcasing a friend. Meet Haze Hung. Haze is my husband’s best friend’s wife. Get it? In short, we’re friends! LOL

So for today’s key piece, I give you the flowy top.

Haze is also a mom (to three adorable boys), coffee lover, ukay-ukay lover, bookworm and a beki (speaks gay lingo) like me! We actually have more than a few things in common. I am so proud that she has blossomed (blossomed talaga?) to be a bit more girly and try to experiment with her look. The moment I saw her in this outfitey I immediately asked her if I can make an outfitey post. So glad she said yes! *hooray*

Love the blend of neutral colors, wearing a neutral color such as beige/brown can be tricky but with the right accessories it can really work. The flowy flutter-sleeved top is perfect to wear in a hot or even cold weather, it also instantly gives you a playful look.

To give better dimension and layering opt to do the dark shade-light shade combination especially if you plan on sporting a monotone look. Bronze over beige always works better than silver over beige,which I find a bit off but that’s just me.

Again, I love what Haze did, same basic color but in a different shade, the satchel color is much like mocha (now, I’m craving for a mocha ice cream. Weird!) Tote it around or swing it over your shoulder or body. Big bags are perfect for mothers like Haze & I.

What a cute watch! This could be a key piece on its own but because we’re focusing on the monotone look of the outfitey so I’m sticking to my first choice. This indeed spices up the monotone look, its a splash of color and definitely a conversation starter.

Haze is also sporting smokey eyes but wasn’t able to take a good photo of it, the one I took was way blurred *sad face* Maybe next time I’ll write a separate entry on that *hint hint to Haze*
