I have a confession to make: I’m pretty much interested in health supplements just as much as I am with makeup and skincare. I like trying different kinds and have come to appreciate how a good set of staple supplements can help me reach optimum nutrition. Honestly when you’re in your 30s, arming yourself with things that can further promote health & wellness is essential. Because really who wouldn’t want longevity on their side? 🙂
Picked up some of these GNC products for me and Mr. JG to try.
Vitamin Plus Glutabright +HA
We all know glutathione has a whitening effect. But did you know that it also helps in achieving brighter and younger-looking complexion? Vitamin Plus Glutabright + HA it’s a combination of L-Glutathione, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid–all key ingredients to aid in skin renewal and anti-aging.
Mega Men Sport
It’s a multivitamin for men that features beta-alanine, a high-efficiency muscle pH buffer, and carnitine, which helps use fatty acids as energy. It works better than a basic multivitamin as it helps support colon and prostate health. It has BCAA to fuel muscles and is packed with antioxidants to help fight free radicals that can be produced during workout.
Fish Oil
GNC Fish Oil contains 300 mg of Omega-3s including EPA & DHA. Omega 3 is essential in supporting the heart, brain, skin, eye and joints. If you need that boost of good fat then adding fish oil to your basic supplements is recommended.
Women’s Ultra Mega Active
A multivitamins for active women. It aids in energy production, recovery, and has antioxidants too. It improves levels of key B vitamins which is essential for energy production. It also is peaked with ingredients to help fight free radicals that can be produced from working out. And last but not the least, it included antioxidants for cell production and stress defense.
A dietary supplement is intended to provide nutrients that may otherwise not be consumed in sufficient quantities. To supplement is to add, so when you take supplements make sure that you still have adequate amount of food intake so you get a balanced diet. 🙂
Aside from fish oil and Women’s Ultra Mega, I still have two other GNC products I take on a daily basis. I know there are more than few people who are interested to know what kind of supplement do they need to take. So the Fit Stop made an episode about it. We brushed up on the must-haves as well as some supplements you can take if you have an active lifestyle. Watch our latest episode to know a bit more about supplements.
