This week’s Style Series focuses on the basic white T-shirt. The past days’ average temperature is around 36 degrees celsius. It’s as if Manila is right beside the sun! Medyo Jirita Jackson (kinda irritating) dressing up only to be drenched in sweat no. So anything easy, breezy and light is the ultimate outfit for summer. What else best fits this category than a white T-shirt?
The best thing about investing on basics such as this white T-shirt is that you get to have so many unlimited options when it comes to mixing, matching and styling.
Quick tip: wear a T-shirt bra under your white shirt. It’s a no-no to wear bright or black brassiere so stick to nudes and whites.
The trick is to find the perfect white T-shirt for your type. Go for round or crew neck if you have a diamond or oblong shaped face. For those with round face, V-neck best suits you.
I like the fit of this stretchable T-shirt ‘coz I like wearing it tucked it in.
If you find the best fit, I say hoard and buy it in all its available colors. For the basic white T-shirt, get at least two so that when one is worn out, you still have another. Oh and also, please, please, please do not wear your white T-shirt if it has turned yellowish or greyish especially if it has pit stains already. You can revamp it by cutting it to tank or into an off-shoulder blouse.
So here’s how Kelly of The Traveling Boots wore his white T-shirt.
I still am on the lookout for the prefect v-neck white T-shirt. I also want the shirt Kelly’s wearing as it has a relax fit that gives that tomboyish appeal.
Look at how we styled our white T-shirt differently. While I look casually chic, Kelly looked sporty.
