As I mentioned in my previous post about SM Toon Fest, I’ll have a series of #OOTDs featuring my lil’ Ms. GJG and the toons of SM Toon Fest. Aminin, kids wear are typical most of the time. Dresses for girls and jeans and shirts for boys. This is a great opportunity for me to experiement my kids’ outfits and styles when it comes to dressing up and having their signature look. I also hope this can serve as your inspiration where you can also pick up ideas on how you can give your kids their own street style look.
Here’s Gabbie’s outfit to school yesterday as what I posted on my Instagram.
Street style Gabbie. Pairing this cute black Mickey Mouse shirt with her gray layered skirt. A comfy look that’s perfect for school or a day out!
Obviously, she loves dressing up and mostly chooses the clothes she’ll wear. Street style isn’t only for adults as it also as chic with kids. So nice that we moms have a lot of other options apart from the typical and sterotype kind of clothes for our darling lil’ ones no? π
THE OUTFITEY:
Black Mickey Mouse Shirt: SM Kids Fashion
Gray layered skirt: Lizzie at SM Kids Fashion
Pink sequined shoes: Mother Care

When I was a child, my favorite outfit would be a comfy skirt and top paired with cute slippers or shoes. Looking back, I missed the days when it was common to see me looking carefree and happy in skirts. It’s sad really that as I grow older (and older) I’ve also grown distant with my relationship with skirts; I’m not comfortable wearing any of them anymore especially now I’ve grown bigger. There’s just no skirt that in my opinion would fit me perfectly.
How I miss those old days. π

When I was 6 or 7, late 80’s, my favorite outfit was a white short with a blue green stripes and a white shirt with either Felix the Cat or Fido Diddo print. As for my footwear, I used to love wearing white sneakers with blue green (again) trimmings. Its brand is “Add-In”. Have you heard of that? I had dozens of little pink dresses, but I hated wearing those. π

When I was still a kid my favorite outfit lagi is yung naka-dress ako. syempre i feel like a lady na agad and feeling ko ang ganda-ganda ko at dalaga na ako. Also because my dad wants us to wear dress because what he believe is that a girl should wear a dress and not a pants (kasi daw ganyan daw ang mga girls manamit nung time nya) haha.. kaya up until now I still love to wear a dress and a doll shoes para cute tignan ang #ootd. π Hayy childhood memories is still the best!

My favorite outfit as a child was a floral dress paired with a black, hand-me-down Dr. Martens boots. This has been my favourite for quite a long time, I remember wearing it over and over, and in every school event that I attend. Feels good to reminisce! π

When I was young my favorite outfit was a dainty dress, with leggings plus my not-so-big hair clip. I used to be my mom’s doll before and she dressed me up based on what’s “in” during those years. Seeing my childhood pictures now, I can certainly say that I love every bit of detail of my get-up before. I’m so girly then and now. =)

I can’t remember any particular outfit but I remember this red mary jane shoes that I was attached with. Whether it’s paired with shorts, dress or pants, I always wear those when I went out.

Well, as a 90’s kid and daughter of an OFW, I often get balikbayan boxed clothes. My favorite was my denim jumper, paired with a pink “Dr. Marten” boots. I have that particular outfit photographed and hanged in our house until now. :3

My childhood pictures are so rare as it got flooded a couple of years back. Most of it were top-less. I don’t know but I get to notice how the adults of my parent’s age really love to take pictures of us in common angles or at common outfits.
I remember me wearing a red gown with two pigtails and I was like… is this really me? I wish I have never grown older.. I’m so cute. I was wearing white charol shoes pa right then with stockings. So formal and so innocent looking.
I wonder if I get to wear the same RED toned gown right now, I wouldn’t look as adorable as before. Hihi. Wishing I was baby face parin. hahaa..
anyways, I have a frustration when it comes to OOTD when I was still a kid, so I try to overcome such frustration now with my little big girl. I just love to see her in her everyday ootd and I just so adore fashionista kids like your daughter Gabby !
Happy bloganniversary ms.gjg π
