Hollywood. It is always on my mind to visit LA and walk the streets of Hollywood Boulevard. Someday soon. I hope. For now, while daydreaming about it, I was inspired to do a Hollywood look ala Barbie for Gabbie’s OOTD.
She was very giddy to wear this outfitey because of the colors. Purple and pink are her favorites! So much so that we went shoe shopping a week ago and she immediately spotted a cute laced purple flats.
Somebody knows how to emote & strike a post! 😉
My not so little baby girl!
When I think about Hollywood & kids’ street style, one thing comes to my mind: Celebrity kids!
Paparazzi taking photos of Suri Cruise,The Pitt kids, Blue Ivy Carter, Stella McDermott, Harlow Madden, Honor Warren amongst others. Aminin! Despite being celebrity kids, I like they still dress like kids.
Here she kept on insisting I take a photo of her shoes. “Mom, picture my shoes please.”
Pleats and prints. Why not?
And because my lil’ Ms. GJG was confined at home for the entire week, she was so giddy when we did each other’s nails. Here she chose yet again pink & purple.

Anyway, next week is when the SM Kids Fashion Toon Fest is happening. What is it you ask?
The SM Kids’ Fashion Toon Fest is an entertaining trade event where kids of all ages can meet and mingle with their favorite personalities and explore current trends in apparel. Favorites Garfield, Snoopy, Robby Rabbit, and Barbie, among others, debut with engaging images on clothes perfect for kids to learn and play in.
This year the babies are getting ready to rock it with the big kids! SM Kids’ Fashion adds yet another delightful element to the mix of fun activities and cool clothing at the much-awaited annual Toon Fest. SM Babies enters the action-packed event with a varied collection of cute, comfortable apparel for toddlers and newborns, introducing an assortment of options to the youngest members of the fashion world.
SM Babies brings in five popular toon brands to round out a charming selection for tiny tots. Onesies, rompers, bibs, caps, mittens, booties, and printed separates such as skirts, mini polo shirts, and pants give parents many ways to introduce their little one to the world of fashion.
True to form, SM Babies Toon Fest labels feature delightful details and personalities to choose from. Disney Babies puts a spin on preppy with neat collared shirts and printed one-piece wear. The Looney Tunes Newborn and Toddler lines capture adorable to a tee with an abundance of ruffles, stripes, and polka dots. Sanrio brings femininity to newborn essentials with a light, pastel pink theme. Finally, Sesame Street gives active toddlers a set of quirky clothing decked out in bright colors.
In celebration of the funky street style theme, SM Kids’ Fashion is also hosting a Dream Photo Shoot Contest. Kids can come up with their most creative take on cosmopolitan wear for a moment in the spotlight, a personal photo session with a renowned photographer, and the chance to become the next face of SM Kids’ Fashion.
As I mentioned in my previous posts about SM Toon Fest, the winners of the mini-giveaways held on this blog must be willing to claim their prizes at the SM Kids Fashion Toon Fest. With that, here’s this week’s question.
Leave your name and email address, and answer to the question “Who is the toon you and your kids are looking forward to seeing the most?” via the DISQUS comment box in this post.
One winner will be chosen (the one with the best answer to the question) and will win P1,500 worth of gift certificates from SM Kids Fashion and a Toon Fest loot bag.
The winner must be willing to attend the Toon Fest event on August 30, 2013, so you can claim your prize.
I’ll announce the winners on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 on my SM Toon Fest blog posts and my blog’s Facebook page.
This year’s SM Kids’ Fashion Toon Fest will take place from August 30-September 1 at the SM Megatrade Hall 2.

Strangely enough, my son wants to see Barbie the most. When he was a little smaller, he saw the pair of pink platform pumps I had back when I was still single and he said that his cousin’s Barbie doll had the same shoes. Then my aunt piped up and explained that I used to be such a Barbie before I had him and so he wants to know how a real person could be that.

Who is the toon you and your kids are looking forward to seeing the most? Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty. as a child I grow up with hello kitty stuff from tees, shorts, wallet..I guess because it is very girly plus my fave color is pink. My daughter loves Minnie Mouse because she’s cute and she has pretty long lashes…hehehe:)
