I’ve been hearing a lot of raves about this restaurant that offers comfort food that’s healthy and yummy. It was their rumored delicious cupcakes that were definitely the clincher for me to give in and try Slice.
Slice got a thumbs up from me upon seeing they have a set of table & chairs for kids. It’s definitely a kid-friendly restaurant, a quality which most of the time a deciding factor for families when picking a good place to eat.
Their chalkboard menu gave it a quirky feel.
It was quite hard to pick what to eat mainly because they all sound yummy. After my husband & I agreed on what to get I decided to pick on desserts, after all that’s what I was looking forward to.
Cakes and their famous Champorado (I have to try next time).
Slice also has a selection of healthy muffins and brownies.
Nuts on the go are available too.
Personal photos of owner, Senator Pia Cayetano are posted on one of the walls.
Drinking cup for kids provided by Slice. Good one!
Gabbie was excited to try the food.
The aglio olio was cooked to perfection. Not too creamy, not to dry it was delicious.
Aglio Olio (Shrimp & Salmon) P390.
American burger with additional cheese (comes with a side salad) P385.
I have to say this is one of the best burgers I’ve tasted so far. It may be too much creaminess & flavor for some but for me, the fusion of the patty, coleslaw and melted cheese made it irresistible even for my toddler.
Gabbie couldn’t get enough of the burger. She loved it just like mommy!
I wasn’t able to resist, I just had to try their desserts!
So I got Rocky Smores P60, Red Velvet Cupcake P80, Choco Yema P70, Banana Berry Muffin P60, Choco Monkey P60 and Morning Glory P70. I have to say our top 3 picks would have to be the Choco Yema, Rocky Smores and the Choco Monkey.
Rocky Smores
Banana Berry has huge berries inside.
Choco Yema gooey-ness you cannot resists. Even my husband agreed it was delicious to think he doesn’t like desserts at all.
I also tried Slice’s Chunky Choco Cookies P50 each.
It’s truly chunky with choco chips that I love it!
Written by Sen. Pia Cayetano herself according to the staff.
Slice is also an eco-friendly restaurant, they try to eliminate the use of plastic for food take outs and uses paper products & eco-friendly bags instead. Good job!
We will definitely come back to Slice. Our experience there was heavenly, the staff were efficient and friendly plus the food is something that I would really come back for.
THE VERDICT:
Ambiance: 4 clovers
It’s a quaint normal sized restaurant and the ambiance spells a homey feel. What got me to liking it even more is its a kid-friendly restaurant.
Service: 3.5 clovers
Knowledgable friendly staff would assist you should you have a hard time picking what to eat. Expect food to be served at least 15 minutes upon ordering.
Food: 4 clovers
Food was delicious and value for money is definitely there.
