For someone who likes shoes, I don’t have a growing collection compared those who are shoepaholic (shoe shopaholic) because a. our humble abode can only hold a few good pairs of shoes (although I have shoes hidden under our bed, sssshhhh don’t tell Mr. GJG!) and b. I try to go for quality over quantity- this can be quite tricky as most quality shoes can be a bit pricey. So what happens when you found a perfect pair that’s classic, chic, and competitively priced? You start a collection.
Ladies, hold your breath. Let me introduce you all to Salt Water Sandals.
It comes in a sandy designed box that emulates that sun, sand and sea vibe.
Salt Water sandals are true to size. No need to size up ha. The perfect fit is when the straps aren’t loose. Don’t worry if the fit is a bit snug. It will loosen up eventually after using it for a few times.
Why is it called Salt Water? Because it loves water! You can wear it while you’re at the beach, you need not worry if it gets wet as it is made to get wet!
We women, always wonder if our sandals can stand the use and abuse right? With Salt Water, you are assured you get to use it more than a few times as it is made from genuine leather. The intertwined straps are securely stitched on the sole, less likely will they break or be pulled apart easily.
I didn’t experience the need to break these babies in. But jus incase a blister or a sore spot occur on the foot, dampen the sandals with water and wear them while they’re wet. This will conform the leather to your foot. When your sandals are wet, just let them air dry, do not use a hair dryer please!
Here’s my gold Salt Water sandals perfectly matched with my orange Girl Stuff nail polish. I think I have found the perfect casual sandals. They’re comfortable, chic and doesn’t really put a hole in my pocket. So when I confirmed that this is THE ONE sandals one should really own, I couldn’t resist and got a few more.

Of course my lil’ Ms. GJG has her growing collection too. The truth is, she’s a bit picky when it comes to shoes. She’s very frank if she doesn’t like a particular pair and there’s no excitement when I ask her to wear it. But it’s a different case with her Salt Water sandals. She even asked me if she can have the other colors that I have so we can be matchy-matchy!
As seen in the photo above, lil’ Ms. GJG’s three pairs. Her first one was the pale pink pair. It still fits her but her toes tend to take a peek na so I decided to get bigger sizes for both her navy and tan pairs. Did I mention its unisex? Some Hollywood celebrity kids were spotted wearing Salt Water sandals as well. Yes, ka-level lang di ba? 🙂

Hi Pat! I got it from a friend who bought it in Singapore but you can check Modern Mama, they have store but its in Cebu. They can ship anywhere naman. As for the fit, I wouldn’t worry about it much because I have medium wide feet and it fits nicely, eventually it will conform to your feet’s shape so its the best sandals you can invest on! Heehee. My Saltwater sandals are US 8. For Renegade Folk size 8 is super sakto so some styles fit I go for size 8 while some better with size 9. 🙂

Hi Joy! My size is US 8. Best to ask the store where you’ll buy it. The size on the left side of the box (the one that says SIZE 6) is the YOUTH size. The size on the right side of the box (W8) is the ADULT WOMEN size. So if you’re a US6, go for W6. The box then must indicate that SIZE 4 W6. If you’re buying in a store better to fit it na lang but if you’re asking someone to buy it for you, tell that person to get you ADULT WOMEN size 6. Okay? 🙂 Good luck getting your Saltwater pair!
