I love getting my nails done. Aside from the pampering feel it gives, it also makes me feel refreshed after a weeks worth of errands and chores. So when I had the chance to have my nails groomed and made, I immediately got all giddy. Yes, like a kid in a candy shop.
Off I went to Beauty & Butter Megamall to have my nails pampered.

For my hands I tried out their UV nail polish, in short gel polish.
Jennifer Lynn brand.
Jennifer Lynn has an extensive color selection.
The hard part is choosing the nail color, can you guess what I chose?
I'll let you guess a little bit more but it's one of these colors.
My buttercup (nail technician) started by cleaning my nails, reshaping & buffing them.
After each application (total of 3 coats) the nails are then cured under this UV light machine to seal the gel polish.

What I love about Jennifer Lynn UV nail polish is that its not as thick as I predicted gel polish to be but still it offers the shine & silky feel gel polish is known for.
I must try the Orly gel next time.
Since I do chores such as cooking, ironing, cleaning and doing the laundry, my nails tend to resist ordinary nail polish so I always expect a manicure to maintain its pristine condition (and by that I mean a tiny chip or peel here and there) in a week’s time. In two weeks tops I have a few nails with completely chipped off polish- entirely peeled off, like my nails were polish resistant. So I was pretty excited to test this gel polish to see if it’ll last me more than a week. Are you ready to know the result?

All that scrubbing, scrapping & wiping with harsh chemicals and my nails are still nice!
After two and a half weeks.
A few chip off (at the end) and a clean peel as the nails grew over time.
I love the gel polish because it remains shiny and somehow scratch resistant- believe me, I even tried rubbing it against a scotch brite and in all fairness it left lil’ abrasion marks. I also love how “light” it feels on my nails, like a regular polish. I just wish that its beauty would’ve lasted for a month but I believe I am to blame for that. I’m not really keen as to taking good care of it but instead I took this chance to push it to its full potential. As of to date, my gel nail polish officially lasted for three weeks *hooray*
