Review: Boostcase Hybrid Battery Pack

Here’s an incident that happened to me a few weeks ago. I was about to pick up lil’ Ms. GJG from school, then I realized my car was on color coding that day. But I wasn’t bothered because Gabbie’s school is just 5 minutes away from our house and she gets out of class just in time for us to go home during window hour. Then suddenly, I was reminded that we needed to pass by a drug store to get some medicines. Yikes.

True enough, traffic was so horrible, I got stuck. It was 10 minutes to 3 pm and my phone’s battery was at 10%. Patay na. I was in front of the line from the stoplight pa naman! Kitang-kita na my car is on color coding! Worst case scenario, if the MMDA guy waiting at the other side of the road, decides to stop me and issue a ticket. I won’t be able to call nor even text Mr. GJG about the incident. Should I ran into a traffic accident or the likes, I won’t be able to call for emergency. Thinking about these possibilities made me wish my iPhone 5 ran a longer battery life. Panic!!! Luckily, none of that happened naman. I was home by 3:04 pm. Just in the nick of time! Pass 4 minutes that is. Whew. Stress Drillon!

So when Maxine of Make Believe, told me she’ll have me try a new product that serves as a phone case and charges an iPhone at the same time, I was super excited to try it!

I like it because for its dual purpose. Also, for a case and battery charger,  it is sleek ha.

I like it because of three these three main reasons:

1. Dual purpose in protecting your iPhone 5 and charging its battery. Just slide the battery case if you need to charge it. No unnecessary wires nor external battery packs to think about. Slide and charge.

2. Charging is convenient. You can connect it through its cable (which is included in the pack) and charge it via your laptop or an outlet (by connecting it on your iPhone’s plug).

3. LED lights indicate the percentage in which the battery is at. Flashing red is at 0-30% while flashing yellow is at 30-70%, flashing green is at 70-99% and solid green is at 100%. The photo shows a steady solid green light indicating that the battery pack is at 100% and can be used to juice up your phone.

After more than a week of using it I have to say, it has saved me from the losing my phone’s battery.  It gives 50-60% battery life, while my phone’s 3G/LTE is turned on. Imagine 50% of battery life can let me do so much with my phone asI love to post and give updates on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and even reply and check my emails.
