When I was pregnant with Juro I found myself eating noodles, soup and the like frequently. I’ve also somewhat craved for ramen and was reminded even more when I saw the late Brittany Murphy’s movie, The Ramen Girl. Anyway, so when we went to Robinsons Magnolia to check out the stores & shops we tried out Ramen Bar which was on soft opening then (I was still pregnant when we dined).
Mr. Go & Gabbie, as we wait to be seated. I spy a very Japanese interior.
Their menu also serves as a place mat which I think is practical. Look at how neat and readable their menu is? Like.
G suddenly asked for a pen when she saw the placemat and said “Mommy, draw paper?”
Anyway, here’s what we ordered:
Chicken Namban Rice Bowl, 185 php
Yakiniku Beef Rice Topping 165 php
I’m a chicken lover but I gotta say I loved their beef rice topping more. It’s super flavorful and tender!
Shoyu Ramen 280 php
Soy infused Tonkotsu Ramen topped with tamago, naruto, negi, chasyu.
Sappore Miso Ramen 320 php
Miso infused Tonkotsu Ramen topped with tamago, naruto, negi, chasyu and butter & corn.
Seafood Ramen 380 php
Seafood in our special Shio Based Soup Ramen
I love their Ramens, the soups were indeed flavorful and as I’ve learned were brought to boil for 20 to 48 hours. I forgot to take a photo of the Chahan (Japanese fried rice) which was a treat itself as it was delicious you can eat it alone even without any viand to pair. It’s reasonably priced at 80 php too!
We will definitely go back here as we’re eager to try their other selections which weren’t available when we dined, plus the efficiency of the staff despite being on soft opening and dealing with a lot of customers was something to commend.
