The movement against fashion coined as Normcore, (normal + hardcore) where blending in is trendy has become the in thing to wear. I can’t fully grasp the idea of normcore because really, how hardcore can normal be? But seeing pegs & images of how this new term is portrayed by fashion enthusiasts, stylists and even fashion icons, I’m becoming more aware of how plain jane it can be. I’m beginning to understand that it plays on neutral tones, with a hint of tomboy style. Bermuda shorts, mandals, shirts and button downs. You feel it? While I don’t portray the inner tomboy in me with these pieces, allow me to show how I do normocore my way.
This ain’t really normcore, more like just normal as I like wearing dresses on a regular basis.
Plain Jane look for days when I have not enough time to think of what to wear.
Wear this dress with pumps, topped with a blazer and you’ve instantly converted this to “normal” look to office appropriate.
While it is tricky to wear heels during the wet season, opt for your best rainy day pair. Use those that have rubber soles to give you that much needed anti-skid security.
A (faux) wrap dress is one of the most flattering and figure enhancing type of dresses you must own. The cinched waist gives your midsection a more tapered look, for that curvier body.
A faux wrap dress such as this enhances the waist more because of the drapes gathered around the midsection.
I don’t know about normcore but this is as plain as I can get.
