You wouldn’t miss P.F. Chang’s even if you try as its iconic Warrior Horse serves as a standing guard greets you. I remember dining at their Manila branch with my kids and they fondly recall the restaurant because of the Warrior Horse. Iconic indeed right?
So glad there’s P.F. Chang’s here in Dubai. I visited their newly renovated space in Mall of the Emirates for lunch to try their newest limited offerings for Shrimp Festival.
If you’re not allergic to shrimp nor are you on a specific diet, I highly recommend you include it to your meals. It’s low calorie yet high in protein. It’s filling and if made into dishes like these from P.F. Chang’s, it’s really delicious!
Tropical Chang’s Frappe is a refreshing drink. A mix of tropical fruits mango, pineapple, orange, banana and coconut.
Chang’s Coconut Cooler is such a yummy drink. That is if you’re nuts for coconut like I am. Perfect mix of coconut juice & coconut milk with a dash of cinnamon. Every sip of this drink transported me back to our summer vacations at the beaches of the Philippines. I rarely drink anything else aside from water with my meals but this was an exemption!
Miso Butter Shrimp Dumplings are hand-folded shrimp with parmesan cheese served in a miso butter reduction sauce.
Cheesy, chewy and miso good!
Togarashi Grilled Prawns is togarashi spiced marinated butterfly prawns drizzled with chili jam sauce served with pineapple infused slaw. I like how light this dish is. The prawn eaten together with the slaw makes a perfect combination.
Korean Sizzling Shrimp Lettuce Wraps is made bulgogi marinated shrimp stir-fried with onions & mushrooms served with Korean Ssamjang sauce. I like anything lettuce wrap and this one is no exception. It’s fun to assemble your wrap and eat it too. Don’t skimp on Ssamjang sauce because it’s what binds the dish together.
Spicy Thai Noodles with Prawns is a mix of butterflied prawns cooked with a blend of vegetables and thick rice noodles in crispy garlic sauce. It’s got a right amount of heat with a hint of lemongrass flavor. If you like a hint of spice this one’s for you. Also this dish has got your carbs & protein covered.
Orange Shrimp is tempura battered shrimp deep fried to perfection slathered with citrus chili sauce served with fresh orange slices and green onions. This is such a classic dish that I could finish all by myself if I want to. This would go so well with steamed rice or fried rice. Yum!
Sichuan Firecracker Shrimp is deep fried prawns tossed in the wok with asparagus and blend of mushrooms in firecracker sauce served with smoky chili pods. This dish reminds me of my trip to China where most of the dishes I ordered had chili pods in it. If you don’t eat the chili pods it’s not as spicy (or maybe my tastebuds are so used to it, the level of spiciness for me is different lol) but nevertheless this is a delicious dish that I would order again.
Check below the prices of each dishes.
P.F. Chang’s Shrimp Festival menu is available starting today October 26 until December 11, 2021 across UAE.
Happy eating!
