Ang jiniiiiit sa Pilipinas! (It’s hot in the Philippines!). Summer being the best time to wear colors and prints, it’s also the best time to flaunt your whites. Not your tidy whiteys (aka underwear) ha, rather white cotton tops that can make dressing up bearable in the scorching heat.
Here’s one of my latest acquisitions–from my recent trip to Bangkok where a full building is dedicated to shopping, hello Platinum Mall!–which I’ve been wearing often this summer.
Not a fan of buttoned-down shirts but this is one of the few exemptions. The billowing form makes it dressier. The oversized sleeves makes it stand out.
Alam nyo naman I’m forever a fan of contrast. Loose=tight, short=long, printed=plain. So it’s a no brainer for me to pair this oversized top with a fitted bottom, even though, I admit I dislike wearing pants during summer. Again, jiniiiiit!
Added a bit of color to my outfit with my flash lens.
White really is a breezy color to look at and to wear on a hot summer day. It feels & looks refreshing. Yun lang, challenging din ‘coz I tend to be a dirt magnet! So far, I’ve never had any stain or any accidents with this one.
I can think of a few ways to wear this top– laid back casual to smart casual. White tops such as this have so many possibilities. Don’t worry, ulitin ko ulit to, like my forever favorite skorts. Heehee.
