I cannot wake up before crack of dawn just to run.
This was one of the many excuses I’ve been saying the past years whenever people like Jaymie of The Bull Runner and Jeff of Pinoy Fitness invite me to their run. I mean weekends are somewhat sacred for moms like me. It’s the only time we can sleep in and when I say sleep in, I mean enjoy a few more minutes in bed before getting up at 7 in the morning. But when I see there are a lot of moms, parents and even kids who train on weekends, I find my excuse to be such a lame one!
Which is why I started the year right when I did my first ever fun run last month. Two weekends ago naman, I joined another run by GoWell called Namaste Run.
I slept at 1 AM and woke up around 4 AM. Hahahuhu. The thing is I can’t sleep well whenever I’m anticipating something. Nauunahan ko talaga yung alarm ko guuuuys. Again, hahahuhu.

It was my first time to run along Makati. I used to walk around the streets of Makati when I used to do castings. I’m so used to fast walk because there are a lot of people walking along with me. So it was a breath of fresh air to chance upon the beauty of Makati on a Sunday morning while running. I literally had to stop and snap this photo.

After our run we did yoga for an hour! Wasn’t expecting it to be an hour long full class. The last time I did yoga was during the Go Well Retreat, four months ago.
One hour yoga done! The Namaste Run was pretty chill. Steady if you ask me. Though I need to learn how to pace because halfway through my run, I had the urge to go to the bathroom (small bladder problems hahahaha) and quit running because I was starting to feel tired and hungry. LOL. But I managed and I’m glad I did! 😀

So glad I woke up early to run and do yoga with my fitness beshies. Iba talaga if you have friends to do fitness activities with you. It feels easier (even though it really isn’t) and lets you motivate each other. 🙂
