Nail Polish For Kids

Girls will be girls. I remember being quite worried with Gabbie because unlike any girls, she’s on the tomboyish side (just like her mommy). She’ll choose balls and cars over dolls and anything girly. But then lately she’s loving all things pink, okay maybe not all pink but she’s showing signs of being girly girl. She’s been wearing her dresses, been mimicking mommy do outfit shots and even been into painting her nails.

Gabbie started her interest with nail polish colors the first time she noticed I had my nails done at Beauty & Butter. Since she already knows how to identify the different primary & secondary colors, it was amusing to see her appreciate as I monthly change my nail polish.

So one day (isang araw, corny lang), she asked if she can paint her nails yellow. Luckily, I still have my yellow nail polish and happily obliged to what my daughter requested.

She loved it that despite the nail color chipping off, she really didn’t want to remove it. The bad part was it’s an adult nail polish that has chemicals bad for kids.

So I was on a look-out for a kid-friendly nail polish that’s easy on the budget. I’ve tried salons for kids as well as department stores but found them in a toy store.

Barbie nail polish at P119.75 and 3D nail sticker at P49.75. Although the price is the same as my nail polish, knowing it’s somewhat safe for Gabbie is good enough for me. After all, one session of manicure at this kid’s salon costs P75.

She hasn’t tried this glittery purple nail polish nor the 3D nail art but think she’s more than excited to do so. Truly it is fun being a girl, with all the kikay things one can do. I can’t wait til Gabbie is a bit older so we can go on spa dates together.
