I am a nocturnal person. I can go on without sleep but not when I’m hungry coz that’s a different story! Heehee. But I guess my being a mom precedes over my being nocturnal as I still wake up early in the morning, despite being active and alive in the wee hours of the night. There’s no rest for the weary I guess, but does this make me a morning person? Well, not really. What gets me in the morning is my morning cup of coffee, cuddles and kisses from my kids and the hope that comes with another beautiful day. Morning is the time of the day when homemaking and being a hands-on momma’s a clear-cut for me and I totally don’t mind it all.
My busy mornings are equally balanced because I get pockets of me time in between. An undisturbed half hour in the bathroom or an hour at the gym revitalizes me and provides enough energy for a long day ahead. Here’s my selfie before I had my RevLite treatment for my face and underarms.I wasn’t wearing any make up here, only an eyebrow mascara to groom my eyebrows. Anyway, according to my technician Rachel, RevLite helps improve the skin’s complexion and texture because it targets the collagen in the skin. It can help lighten one’s skin, diminish chicken skin, minimize pores, wrinkles and overall improve skin clarity.
RevLite Laser Treatment stimulates and revitalizes collagen in your skin using short pulses of light to make it smoother, glowing, and more even.
It also targets other skin problems like pigmentation, large pores, pimples, scars, wrinkles and fine lines, age and sun spots, and even chicken skin.
A quick assessment is made before one can undergo RevLite. It is vital to know the condition of your skin so the technician can perform a suitable RevLite treatment plan (pulse type and spot size) for you. It is non-invasive, so this is perfect for those who find facials (pricking, peeling and the like) intimidating.
My shameless underarm photo! I have been undergoing Diode laser at Wink Laser & Wax Studio and I’ve done four sessions already. My underarm hair barely grows. Except for those on the bottom part (left of the photo) as they aren’t initially part of my laser treatment. On my next visit, I’m sure they’ll target that area. I can’t believe I posted a photo of my underarm. Up close and personal! Hahaha. I am this confident because it looks waaaaay better now compared to before especially after I gave birth to my children! Horror my underarms then, so happy they’re pretty now. 🙂
The sensation of a rubber band being pulled against your skin is what you’ll feel when you undergo RevLite. It is tolerable, this coming from someone who has low tolerance for pain. The treatment usually lasts for a few minutes depending on how your skin reacts to it. Your skin should either be red or warm as an end result for RevLite to be effective.
Here’s my underarm immediately after the RevLite session. It is recommended that one must do RevLite for two months, once every two weeks (that’s 4 sessions) for results to be seen. I did RevLite in two months and I am happy to say that those nasty chicken skin on my underarms have relatively smoothen, even those prominent lines have lightened. Pretty impressive for a treatment that’s non-invasive and only takes a few minutes of your time. No wonder its the IT thing to do!
The fine hair in the area where I had my RevLite treatmentments (face and underarm) lightened with every session. Since I have a moustache, I am also undergoing Diode laser for my upper lip. But because I did RevLite for two months, the hair on my upper lip significantly lightened. As well as the hair on my sideburns, cheeks and forehead. Another reason why I love RevLite, kinda hitting two birds with one stone.
If you plan on doing RevLite, it is not advisable to do it simultaneously with Diode laser. You can do it a week after but not the same day. Also, sun bathing and exposure to the sun is not the best thing to do, as well as using pimple fighting products and whitening products as they may be in contrast with RevLite.
I currently have to stop my RevLite treatment as I’m trying out some products for my face and skin. But if you ask me now if I can go barefaced and be confident doing so, I’d answer you with a resounding yes!

If you don’t have any skin problems with your upper lip then I would suggest you got for Wink’s diode laser. I would however greatly recommend Revlite for the underarm should you have skin concerns like mine (chicken skin, dark skin and the like) 🙂 I hope this helps!

Revlite will lighten the hair strands and eventually after a few sessions, it is said to fall off. This I can’t really attest to as my underarms underwent Diode laser prior to my Revlite sessions so the effect of Revlite on my underarms were more on the skin rather than the hair. 🙂 I hope this helps.

Hi Eunice! The hair became thinner as I’ve already had 3 sessions. On my third session, it was barely there. But there was I time that I had to shave it because I wasn’t able to go back agad, (6 weeks interval for Diode kasi and I had skin allergies so I couldn’t do the treatment for almost 3 months). The interval per session really matters if you want to gradually eliminate the growth of your hair. There were times I couldn’t wait for my next Diode session for my legs that I needed to shave it (shaving is allowed while undergoing Diode but not waxing nor threading) the hair, as expected grew thick like how it grows after shaving. But after my Diode laser session again, it’s back to being thin. So now, I’m really trying to go Diode all the way para it can make consistent na like my underarms. 🙂 I guess it would depend on the reaction of your hair towards the diode but based on how my hair reacted to it, it didn’t grow thick naman like how it used when I shave the hair on my legs and gradually, it’s thinner after every session 🙂 I hope this helps! But according to SkinStation, DIode for upper lip is set up to 4 weeks interval which confused me since at Wink Salon 6 weeks naman ang interval? May difference ba un sa result ng DIode kung magkaiba sila ng interval session? 😀

Hi May! Yes, I would recommend this 🙂 First thing I noticed is the texture of my underarm skin. It became smoother first, until eventually it lightened na as lightening of the skin tone is one of the side effects of Revlite. But if you want something that focuses on whitening talaga, maybe you should try other treatments 🙂

I’ve done 7 sessions of diode on my underarms and went for a Revlite (5+1 package)! So far, so good. Really love the results. 🙂 Now, my problem is my facial hair! Lol. I’m really considering diode for upper lip, since I have really prominent upper lip hair. 🙁 Sometimes, on bad days, it really blows my self esteem. I was wondering about the intervals for you? I see that you mentioned 6 weeks for your upper lip? And how many sessions were you able to do before you were very satisfied with it?
(My technician told me that hair in the upper part of the body grows faster and suggested I might need more sessions for upper lip, so I’m trying to do a cost-benefit analysis now based on what Filipinas say on the internet. :))

Amazing how it can even out skin tone, most especially the chicken skin no? 🙂 For the upper lip session, I go talaga every after 6 weeks, I was happy with 6 sessions as I faintly see the hair growth but I remember going once in two months as maintenance because I really am super hairy. Try it for 6 session first and the technician will most likely tell you naman na you can visit again only as needed aka “maintenance”. I hope this helps!

I love the interiors of wink and the fact that they have disposable sheets for every client 🙂 I only got 1 session or revlite facial just to see if it will have any effect on me since I just had a facial and diamond peel the day before. Anyway, I wasn’t very happy with how the manager insisted that I take the weekly revlite facial for 3 consecutive weeks. My skin wasn’t very problematic to begin with. I just wanted something for maintenance.
Hi Cris! I agree, love how every considerate they are when it comes to hygiene. A Wink manager also suggested the same thing to me. I guess she wants me to see how Revlite can dramatically change my skin’s texture/appearance with 3 consecutive sessions. True enough I saw there’s a difference. In my case it was just a suggestion which I happily did. Though in your case, I also wouldn’t like it if she insisted I do the treatment. 🙂
