As I always advise moms, always have your me time. I know it’s not easy to have one. With all the tasks, chores and errands to do, there isn’t enough time to even finish them all. You know what, it’s time you reward yourself once in a while! Ask the hubby to take in charge even for an hour or two to watch over the kids or just to keep the house together and head on over to The Spa.
Luckily, I had a window of opportunity to do just this. I went over to The Spa in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell to have two hours of me time on a mid-week to relax and recharge.
The waiting area at The Spa in Power Plant Mall is so chic and relaxing. Well, actually, all branches of The Spa look chic and relaxing.
You can choose between an executive room or a suite/villa. For the suite/villa, I got to choose between a sauna or steam room. And because I had cough and flu, I decided to get the steam room instead.
Check out the steam coming out of the shower heehee. I love how relaxing the room is.
Fresh linen & towels provided smelled a therapeutic spa scent.
I also love how soft the bathrobe felt against my skin.
The Traveller’s Oasis package is a two-hour relaxation treatment for those who experience jet lag, dull skin and tiredness. This was a perfect package for me because the past few weeks were so busy, I just felt like hibernating. But because I am a mom, that isn’t remotely possible, at least for now. Thankful I get to “hibernate” for two hours at The Spa! 🙂
First, I had The Spa Purifying Moroccan Therapy. It starts with dry brushing your whole body with two body brushes (as seen in photo). I have to say, The Spa’s body brush were gentle on the skin. Plus, the technique of alternately using both brushes gave a smooth, rhythmic feel to dry brushing. After dry brushing comes the application of the body scrub. That bowl of what looked like chocolate but is actually a scrub (which is equally appealing by the way) was applied to my body. The warm muddy scrub with a hint of granules provided enough exfoliation to my skin.
Then I was wrapped like a mummy in this moroccan-ish blanket for fifteen minutes. Then I drifted off. Yep, it was that good. The Purifying Moroccan Therapy ended with a gentle massage of moisturizer to seal the deal. Totally relaxing.
It wasn’t over. Afterwards I had my Purity Facial with Organics to complete my Traveller’s Oasis experience.
No steam was used on my face to open my pores. Instead, one of the creams, as seen in the photo above, was put to set for five minutes for my skin to open. A relaxing massage and gentle cleansing soon followed. The treatment targeted the pressure points on my face, helping release tension and stress while whiteheads and blackheads were being removed. The creams used on my face were so gentle it felt like water. Again, because it was so relaxing I fell asleep. I didn’t even know I was halfway through the treatment already!
No spa session is complete without The Spa’s famous ginger tea. I think I had five cups of this magical potion throughout my me time.
Thank you so much The Spa for such a wonderful experience. I love that your staff, from the receptionist, to the manager, down to the masseuses were all very professional, accommodating, and friendly. My visit at your Rockwell branch was such a delight; I’m planning my next visit. Perhaps I’ll try your Barre 3 class soon! 🙂

To be born on the year as definitely the same with The Spa’s first business kick-off (1996) is more than a great privilege. My life as a 17-year-old has always been packed with extravagant challenges on which I think is the main composition of who I am now and what will I be in the future, but as I see it, There is this one person who is more than deserving of receiving all this pampering packages that I am looking forward on winning to, And its none other than, My mom.
