Now that I’m more conscious when it comes to eating healthier and preparing healthier options for my family, I really appreciate brands that promote this as well. We all know peanut butter is a good source of healthy fat and promotes brain growth. And Lily’s Peanut Butter being a household name for more than 65 years now has been paving way for Filipinos to eat healthier. Just recently they launched their “Let’s Build A Healthier World” campaign where they hosted a series of events in Metro Manila private elementary schools particularly St. John Paul II Academy Paranaque, Colegio De Sta. Cecilia in Valenzuela, Philippine Christian University Union Elementary School in Manila, Don Bosco Institute of Makati, Maranatha Christian Academy in Manila and Paco Catholic School in Manila. Combining fun and nutrition, they created these events to encourage not just parents but kids as well to create healthy snacks using their different products.
The event involved a lot of fun parent-kid bonding activities including a giant Jenga game plus dancing to Lily’s Peanut Butter jingle song. Of course there were booths dedicated to product sampling. But the highlight of the event was the showdown of the 10 Lily’s Peanut Butter Mom and Me Health Ambassadors. The 10 pairs were pre-selected from the entries received by the schools. The selected pairs each received P2,000 cash, Lily’s gift packs while the grand prize winner received Php 10,000 cash plus an educational tour at Lily’s production plant.
Watch the video to check out the creations of the the 10 finalist. Personally I love the winner’s simply because it incorporated more fruits & Lily’s Peanut Butter. Yum!
I was inspired by the healthy snacks made by the 10 Lily’s Peanut Butter Mom and Me Health Ambassadors. So I made one at home using Lily’s Peanut Butter Classic & chocolate.
