Hi May! I can’t believe summer is almost over! A month more to go and it’s back to school for most of the kids here in the Philippines (though some will start school come August).
The famous hashtag Laboracay has been used and abused every May 1–which is Labor Day–for years now. This Tita has never celebrated #Laboracay even when I was single. I just remember spending one Labor Day weekend with my then-boyfriend at Puerto Galera but that’s it pancit. 🙂
Seeing my timeline on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter with accompanying photos of the beach, booze and fun made me crave for the beach.
Thankfully, Mr. JG has the same craving as I do. So he proposed we go to the beach over the weekend.
We spotted Mt. Samat on our way to the beach. Looking at our surroundings, parang ang sarap tumira sa probinsya–seems like it’s nice to live in the province, where the air is fresh and life is simpler.
Waking up to this view and all its beauty. Indeed it was a good way to celebrate Labor Day. I admit, even during vacation, I cannot seem to part with my laptop. I bring it with me because I have a backlog to finish and tons of photos to edit. I couldn’t help how much “addicted” I am to posting regularly that I tend to neglect the beauty of the moment I share with my family.
During this weekend trip to the beach did I realize I am lucky to be living my dream. To do something I love doing while being able to spend most of my days with my kids.
My Labor Day weekend crew. Wouldn’t trade anything for this moment with my kids.
Waking up to this wonderful view. I am grateful and thankful. For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t stressed about the pending things I needed to do. Instead, I took it all in. Everything that surrounded me over the weekend. The rays of sun, the laughter of my kids, salty water, even the rain that poured. It was all good.
Now it’s Monday and I feel recharged and ready to take on the week. Thankful to Mr. JG for this opportunity to spend quality time together and just enjoy the sun, sand and sea. Grateful for the moments we spent as a family. Thank you so much God.
Okay, now I’m a bit stressed! Hahaha. I hope you’re all have a good Monday.

Galing! I probably might do this more often. Especially if I don’t have my laptop with me. 😉
