Nope. My blog wasn’t hacked. You read that right. Emphasis on VEST because this OOTD is dedicated to the ladies who were asking me where I got my “blogger favourite” white vest. Hihihi.
Stylist RJ Roque actually coined this witty term when I posted my vest finds on Instagram. He captioned it as an inVESTment. He was right. Since I’m building my wardrobe and want to be up-to-date but not too trendy, I went for long vests as statement pieces that I can wear over and over again.
The moment I saw this in store, I didn’t think twice of buying it because A. it’s soopeeer (yes, wrong spelling for more emphasis) hard to find a white vest. B. I like layering and having this would put my layering & styling skills to test and C. It’s the only piece in my size. It was really meant to be. Sabeeeeh?!
It was such as investment because I don’t spend much on clothes but this one was an exemption. So go na lang! I had to cut down on food which is my other indulgence so I can afford this. I can say it’s really worth it naman. Uuuuy, justify mo pa more girl! Hahaha.
I can see myself wearing this many times and in many different ways, but this was the first.
I. Cannot. Get. Over. Black. And. White.
Since I’m still in love with black and white, I opted to add color to break the panda theme going on. So I wore a very colroful bag to stir up the look.
What’s plain in front can be compensated at the back.
Another investment is a good pair of sneakers. While it’s all fun and girly to wear heels and sandals, a woman must own a decent pair of sneakers to get her through a day that demands her to run around or relax her feet, heels and toes. This pair is as dressy as any heels I own. Again, it was the last in my size so ano pa ba ang choice ko di ba?! Another meant-to-be purchase! 😀

If vest isn’t your thing, I want to know, what’s that one piece of clothing that you would invest on and why?
