I Profess My Love For Cupcake Lab

It’s no secret that I love sweets. I’ve said it over and over again here di ba? One of my favorite kind of sweets would have to be cupcakes. With so many cupcake players in the market today, I have my favorites and one of it would have to be Cupcake Lab.

I first chanced upon Cupcake Lab at their first kiosk in The Podium Mall. It is one of the malls we frequent because of the shops, and the restaurants. Also, we like that it’s a kid-friendly mall, where strollers are prioritized to ride the elevators. Being the curious cow that I am, when I saw their kiosk that screams of black and white it got me intrigued. It’s not your usual cutie pie cupcake store. But don’t be quick to judge their unusual color scheme, or lack thereof. Because I have to say, their cupcakes are to die for!

As their slogan puts it “Where your friendly cupcake meets exact science.” The moment I took my first bite, I was hooked. So much so that I keep on posting photos of these delicious cuppies on my Instagram and Twitter, with matching raves of how I’ve found the best, moist and well-concocted cupcakes in Manila.

Cupcake Lab offers a handful of flavors that guarantee you to have one or two favorites in no time.

Green Tea is one unusual flavor for a cupcake. I haven’t tried this one though as I already have my favorites, that make me forget to try this.

I’ve been in a relationship with these four delicious cuppies ever since I tried them.

I actually posted before about my delight in finding a delicious red velvet cupcake. Now that I’ve tried Cupcake Lab’s, I have to say my first discovery comes in second na lang! There’s just something magical about their red velvet (perhaps the exact science in making these cuppies?) that makes it stand out among others no? I’m guessing it’s the moist cake and the flavorful yet not overpoweringly sweet icing that make Cupcake Lab a hit.

Because I’m a coffee lover, I like pairing Cupcake Lab cupcakes with my morning, afternoon and even evening cup of coffee. Two of my favorite sweets combined is just pure genius! Chocolate chip cookie + cupcake= happiness!

Whenever I feel like I’ve had too many “rewards” in a week (because sometimes I couldn’t help it!), I indulge by buying their mini cupcakes instead. Cute no? Grabe, one bite and it’s gone in two seconds. LOL

Now, Cupcake Lab is open at Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan. I think I may have gained a few pounds ever since they opened here. So much near my house. Everytime we’re in Greenhills Shopping Center, I make sure I get my fix of red velvet or tiramisu from them. Eeeep! I’m officially a Cupcake Lab-o-holic!

Even my daughter can attest to my love for it. She even got me my fix of red velvet and tiramisu when she had a movie date with her Ahma & Angkong, her grandparents. Because I wasn’t able to join her watch Smurfs 2, she was sweet enough to tell her Ahma that she wanted to take home some cupcakes for Mommy. Yes, she’s the sweetest! How lucky I am? Very much. 😀

Cupcake Lab is indeed one of the best tasting cupcakes here in the metro. You are definitely worth all the calories, I really don’t mind eating you every day. Now off to the gym I go!

I was able to try their latest creations and even got to meet Ms. Cupcake Lab herself.

The marriage of sweet & spicy= Chili Dark Jack. Dark chocolate plus a hint of Jack Daniels with chili flakes! I love this cupcake!

Strawberry Lava cupcake oozes with real strawberry bits that’s smacked in the middle.

Probably one of the best Pecan Pies I’ve tried. Crispy crust complement the sweet and chewy pecan filling. Noms.

Pair your favorite cupcake  with Malongo coffee or Harney & Sons tea for only 60 php per cup!
