Au natural has always been my thing and I admit it is challenging to do so especially when it comes to health and beauty. Being all natural takes effort and of course patience (which I really lack *sad face*). But with what the modern world brings, there are better ways to achieve an all natural look without putting much effort. Hooraaay!
I always get compliments with my lashes, mainly because they’re thick and long. But there are just those days when I get tired of grooming them because of so much work and effort put into it. So the idea of having eyelash extensions crossed my mind. You know, eyelash extensions are the ones that stay semi-permanent and not those falsies (false eyelashes) you put every time you needed to “pimp” your eyes. I was intrigued so without much contradiction, I gave in and took the plunge. I had my eyelash made at I-Lash Extensions Salon.
I-LASH Extensions Salon is the first salon to exclusively offer eyelash extension services. From its opening in Baguio City, October 2006, the salon has drawn a list of clients from different provinces of the north availing of the single product that the salon offers. Encouraged by the market’s response to the salon’s services, I-Lash Salon opened a branch in Greenhills Shopping Center, Nov 2007, sold two Franchises in Ilo-ilo located in old business district Iznart St., May 2008, and in Robinsons Place, July 2008, Goldcrest, Makati, August 2008, and in SM Supercenter Pasig January 2009, SM Mega Mall Febuary 2009, SM Mall of Asia April 2009, Pampanga May 2009, Eastwood, Cash N Carry, Congressional, Retiro,Alabang Town Center, Ali Mall, SM Tarlac, SM Sta Mesa and soon to open in SM Cebu in order to cover a wider market. The company aims to open in other parts of the country thru franchising.
The salon would like to expand the product line to include similar aesthetic enhancements such as eyebrow tattoo, acrylic nails, and hair extensions. However, there are no plans of evolving it into a full service beauty parlor.
I-Lash Salon would like to differentiate itself with its cutting edge of maintaining only its specialty services to control high quality service and results.
I availed their Fine Lashes service at P550 (approximately $12). Wherein 100 pieces (50 pieces on each eye) of extensions are to be put in between the natural lashes.
So I took a picture of my lashes before the treatment, just to give you a looksy on what my lashes look like.
So obvious the veins on my face eh? *frowns*. Anyway, the procedure lasted for about forty five minutes to an hour. If you’re not used to closing your eyes for an entire hour, try to busy yourself (your mind in particular) by bringing an iPod with you. Listening to your favorite songs will help you relax and you’ll notice your eyes won’t be as fidgety. I’ve felt a few stings during the procedure though, I can only assume my eyes reacted with the glue. I panicked for a moment but then the technician assured me that the stinging only lasts a few seconds and wasn’t harmful to the eyes. *sighs in relief*
Look at how fuller and longer my lashes are! I love it! The advantage of having semi-permanent extensions on my lashes aside from the fact that I instantly look all prepped up the moment I wake up (yes, there’s that certain “glow” effect), is that it refrains me from scratching my eyes, because I have this tendency wherein I scratch & poke my eyes incessantly, no thanks to allergic rhinitis. The disadvantage though is that it gets a little itchy sometimes and I have to be extra careful in putting and removing eye make up for my lashes to last longer. I wasn’t able to take a photo on the after care guide but it mainly says to wait at least twelve hours before washing the eyes and use mild soap or facial wash and pat dry (note, pat dry not wipe the eyes) only because if you wipe (like I’m really used to), extensions might come off or might lose its shape. To groom it, I simply use an eyelash brush or I gently brush it with the use of my finger tips to maintain its natural shape and form.
Anyway, fast forward to today it had been almost a month and I pretty much have the same set of lash extensions. Although there were a few strands that had fallen off oh blame it on my bad habit, I still scratch my eyes unconsciously especially in my sleep. Still I’m happy to report that I plan on coming back to have my lashes retouched, this time I plan to avail of the Natural or the Mascara service. I’ll update this post right after I get the treatment. *winks* Oh also, they have a promo if you go with your friends, you and your girlfriends get to avail the services at their discounted price, cool!

I like the medium length lash, it’s more obvious and looks more fuller too!
That’s all!
Happy hump day everyone!

How many months its last
Jackie Go says
Hi Lei! If you’re gentle and conscious on taking good care of your eyelash extensions, it can last for a month to two months.

I had my first eyelash extensions in i-lash extension SM Seaside Cebu. I availed their Fine Lashes (at 275php because of 50% off). They told me it will start to fall naturally after 2-3 weeks. But guess what, it started to fall on the 4th day. Due to heavy rain and traffic (bought by 51st IEC for days), I was able to return on the 7th day but they assured me that I’ll have a free refill of my lashes. But when I got there, they told me I’ll have to pay 300 pesos for a retouch because there’s 2 lashes left on my right eye and 10 on the left. As a college student, I had tight allowance and can’t give the money right away. So I told them I’m not going to have that retouch, thanked them and went away. So Cebuanos! Go to STYLASH instead!
