I Can Be Your Sunshine

Summer naaaa! Can you feel it? I can feel it! (mala-Alice Dixson from her TV commercial for a brand of soap) OMG. If di nyo na naabutan yan, that means bagets pa kayo! Hahahaha. Anyway, today’s Valentine’s Day and I know a lot of couples, but not limited to, will be celebrating later. Uuuuy, bring out the cheesy parade! For those single, aba, aba, aba you have no reason to be sad, celebrate it with friends and family! As long as there’s love, celebrate V Day. Joe D’ Mango, isdatchu?! What cheesiness & corniness do to me! Anyway, here’s an anti-red but not anti-Valentine’s Day outfit. I actually wore this during my pre-Valetine’s ganap with Mr. GJG. 🙂

I don’t really own any yellow clothes. As in anything as solid and as sun shiny as this dress. Yellow isn’t my color because I think it doesn’t suit me but when I got this dress from Thrifties, well, well, well, in fairness keri naman.

I discovered Thrifties when my grade school friend and owner of the brand, Angel, sent me samples to try. She, along with business partner and high school best friend Renalyn decided to do a start up clothing business, which they decided to name Thrifties, because they sell affordable clothes for women. What started as a passing idea eventually pushed through becoming their online store which was established December of 2013.

I Immediately felt the connection between the brand and my style. The dresses and tops have flattering cuts and the fabric is of good quality. The price? As the brand’s name suggests, it’s affordable. Lav ett!

You can own a dress for only Php370 and the clothes are proudly made here in the Philippines. Hopefully, in the future, they get to design their own clothes.

I actually got a lot of compliments the day I wore this dress. It’s simple yet exudes a feminine silhouette. It’s a cross between sweet + sexy= pa-swexy! So much for being cheesy & corny! Hahahaha.
