Still trying to get my grove back since the holidays have been successful in getting it from me. Hahahuhu. But even before the year started I’ve been caught up with the holidays. So much so that I find myself dressing for comfort.
Back to wearing black guuuuys because that’s life me. Heehee.
The thing about having basic pieces in your closet is you can easily mix and match it. I’ve said this a thousand times because it’s true. You’ll see my outfit posts where I wear the same piece differently because that’s how clothes are supposed to be right? 😀
Key pieces in my wardrobe are (but not limited to): camisoles, flowy tops, skirts, long vests, and outerwear. Whenever I couldn’t think of what to wear, I just pick any of these pieces and try to come up with a look. I personally prefer black, white, and grey but from time to time I add a pop of color just to give contrast.
Black is always a safe bet. Not only does it make one look thinner, it also is perfect for clumsy people like me. I tend to be a walking ball awkward and have become a magnet to stains so black is always a good choice for me ‘coz if and when I do get clumsy, the evidence (read: food stains) isn’t obvious.
It doesn’t always have to be basic. Sometimes, adding trendy pieces can build your wardrobe and help you figure out your personal style. I’m a skirt kind of girl so whenever I find one that’s unique and fits me well, I get it.
Di pa naman ako sneakerhead guys but I find myself liking sneaks more and more!
