They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. I say it takes forever (wow may forever pala guys) and lots of self-discipline to keep healthy habits. Such is eating healthier. I guess this year is finally the year that I can confidently say I am eating better, in fact healthier. Last year and the past years, I’ve always said I’d do the switch and be more healthier but I always end up eating a serving or two of junk food almost every day. Hahahuhu. This year is quite different because I’ve been preparing healthier meals for me and my family and have been on a constant quest for healthier snacks. But don’t get me wrong, I still indulge on my favorite junk on weekends just to satisfy my cravings. Because you know balance is the key to success. Hahaha. You’ve probably seen my previous food posts and noticed how they’re more on the healthier side. So here’s another post where I share some of my latest snack finds.
Yup these are healthier snack alternatives yo! 😉
Nestle now has Greek yogurt! I’ve been having this since I first tried it (which was just last week hahaha). Available at leading supermarkets.
Mush Better Krispy Mushroom. This mushroom snack is so good, I wasn’t able to resist and ate the tub of the sour cream variant! Hahaha. You can order through @mushbetter on Instagram or Facebook.
The right kind of wrong? That’s Honesy Junk. Their cookies and gummy bears are da bomb! These gluten-free treats are so good you wouldn’t really think it’s a healthy snack. My kids & I love it! Order through @honestjunk on Instagram.
I never thought I’d love coconut as much as I do now. This coconut snack is gluten-free & high fiber. It can be eaten as is or can be sprinkled in your avo toast or smoothie bowl. It’s just too good! Available at S&R & Landers supermarket.
Chips, chips, chips. A serial snacker can’t get enough chips. Thankfully there are healthier options and these are just some of them. Hummus chips (there’s also Lentil chips but I ate it na! Hahaha), vegetable chips and quinoa chips! All are available at Rustan’s supermarket (and I think at other supermarkets such as Unimart, SM Hypermarket, S&R and Landers).
The quest for healthy snacks is forever and I’m glad there are more, more options to eating healthy! Got some discovery? Share please so I can also try! 🙂
