Bag hags rejoice! Givenchy, having their one and only store in the Philippines, located in Greenbelt Mall Makati City, opened up their second store. Givenchy is now open in Shangri-La Mall. I witnessed the unveiling of their store as it opened its doors to public last July 12, 2014.
As I slowly absorb the allure that surrounds the Givenchy store, sipping some bubbly and talking to bag enthusiasts, I revel even more on the beauty of these luxury goodies. Truly Oscar Wilde was right, like him, I have the simplest tastes and I am always satisfied with the best. So allow me to share my indulgence to you with some of the photos I took during the store’s opening.
Warning: you will definitely fall in love with one of these beauties. Prepare yourselves. Better yet, prepare your husband for a luxurious wish list that gives him a hint of what you’d like to receive on your birthday, anniversary and Christmas.
House De Givenchy tote bags from the Fall 2014 collection.
It’s a lovely structured bag. I tried carrying it and it was a bit heavy, perhaps because of the solid hardware of the bag. It’s not advisable to stuff your entire home (like most women do) inside which I am so guilty of. A trendy tote like this deserves to carry only a few good things.
Pandora Box bags were also available at the newest store of Givenchy in Manila. Although availability of this style is limited in terms of color.
On to one of the most iconic bags Givenchy has, the lovely Nightingale. They have different sizes and colors but again, very limited.
Too many pretty Nightingale in Givenchy’s Shangri La store. Like this lovely orange one in medium.
The grey one was eye catching. Not often would you encounter a grey bag and this small Nightingale is something I’d add on my wish list.
There were also a few Givenchy Lucrezia bags displayed.
As well as some Givenchy Antigona Cabas totes. But the ones currently in store were more of neutral totes than these bright colored ones.
Although I have not seen the Givenchy Rottweiler Bulldog and Givenchy Madonna bag collection in store, they have a few apparel available. You’d have to ask the store manager for them though as they’re not on display. Hopefully these two limited editions would be available soon here in Manila.
A capsule for the men’s collection.
As well as for the women’s apparel.
Givenchy Abstract Floral. This pattern is starting to become an iconic one for the brand.
A micro Givenchy Antigona as your everyday bag. If you have a lil’ princess, I’m sure she’ll assume this one’s meant for her.
The most luxurious one in the bunch, the Givenchy Antigona Python. What a beautiful bag!
Its even prettier in this color!
Now for some shoe porn.
The pair that caught my eye. Sigh! Isn’t this lovely?!
Givenchy also has a pocket collection of watches. Only a few pieces are in store so if you like, you should get it!
A men’s watch worn by a woman is always appealing.
Givenchy Antigona clutches in royal colors.
I was drawn particularly in this section of the store. The Pandora mixed with Antigona makes a contrasting yet cohesive approach to the store’s styling.
The royal colors are just too lovely! I’m not really a fan of purple but this Pandora makes the cut!
Tricolour Pandora. According to Jenny, the Givenchy store manager from Hong Kong, a tricolour is a one of a kind bag that doesn’t repeat its combination in the coming seasons. Just like when Balenciaga releases a new collection of unique colors. Again, if you’re looking for a special bag then go and get a tricolour, as it most probably won’t be available in the next seasons to come.
Givenchy Pandora medium old pepe finish. I admit, I am not a fan of this wrinkled finish as I know eventually it will darken over time, especially if you use it how you’re suppose to use a bag. But when I saw this beauty, I just couldn’t take my eyes off it!
So much so that they had me try it on. It was telling me “Hi, Jackie! I know you want me, go ahead and get me!” Keri ko sya super, kabogera yung bagelya pero hindi sya keri ng budget ko as of present! (I like it as the bag is gorgeous but I currently have no budget for it!) Hahaha.
The long strap falls perfectly on my hips, while the short strap proves to have the best length when you carry it as a hand bag.
Here’s the bag without the stuffing inside. I have come to appreciate it even more! It quintessentially compliments my outfit that day. Haaaaay. Why you have to be so pretty (expensive) Pandora? 🙂
While I swoon over the beauty of a Pandora, this chic bag hag friend of mine Jon got enthralled with this red Lucrezia bag for men. Love the appeal of the bag. It doesn’t scream attention as it is a beautiful structured bag that exudes subtle elegance. In short, simple pero rock. 😉
The trio sporting Nightingale with Givenchy’s Jenny Tsang, who flew in from Hong Kong for the opening of the Shangri-La store. Look at her Givenchy Madonna clutch. Lavett! Jon gave in as he fell in love with the red Lucrezia. Sya ang nag wagi! While Raisa & I were good girls and just appreciated the beauty that surrounded us. Heehee.
Out of all the bags and shoes I posted, if you were to choose, what’s your favorite from Givenchy?
Go check it out yourself and visit the newest Givenchy store located at the G/F East Wing of Shangri-La Mall, Mandaluyong City
