A few weeks ago I received a bag of Lactacyd goodies.
Even before I was able to take a photo, my lil’ Ms. GJG called dibs on Toddlertubs Bubbles (purple one) so its not in the photo. She loves the smell so much, she enjoys lathering it up on her skin.
A quick back story of how I discovered Lactacyd. It was when I first had my period that I learned about the brand. My sisters were already using it so I was influenced by them. Lactacyd Feminine Hygiene Wash was the first product I used as a teenager. Heehee. Lakas maka-flashback Friday naman into!
Whenever I use Lactacyd Feminine Hygiene Wash, it brings back memories of when I was a teen. So happy that it has another variant- Lactacyd Intimate White, which promises to help lighten THAT area within 4 weeks. Love that it has a lovely scent!
Fastforward to when I had my first child, Lactacyd Baby Bath was one of the first few baby products we had for lil’ Ms. GJG. She has quite a sensitive skin and Lactacyd Baby Bath has proven helpful in maintaining her supple, soft and smooth baby skin. It smells clean but doesn’t really feel too clean. Now the next product after a baby bath is a toddler bath and Lactacyd now has one made just for your active toddlers.
Lactacyd Toddlertubs are perfect for your toddlers who are prone to smelling sweaty- which is the total opposite of your once sweet smelling baby! The fruity scent of both Toddlertubs Splash & Toddlertubs Bubbles are invigorating and help lessen that sticky, sour, sweaty scent most kids (active or not) smell like especially now during this hot, humid summer weather.
Alam nyo yung amoy pawis (sweaty smelling)? I remember when I was young, around 7 or 8 years old, my mom would always say I’m sweaty smelling because I would incessantly play after school, in between waiting for her and even on weekends. I distinctly remember that scent through my kids. Both lil’ Ms. GJG & lil’ Mr. GJG sweat a lot. Yes, they sweat like a pig. Even when they were under a year old, even if the air conditioner is turned on, even if they don’t run a mile, they would sweat a lot. I guess they got that from their dad’s side of the family.
But no matter how sweaty they get, I still love getting hugs and kisses from them, as well as watching them do that to each other.
There are times that they really love each other’s company. For no apparent reason, they would hug and kiss. My lil’ Mr. GJG is such a charming, sweet boy. He would come up to his sister and just hug. This was a lovely moment I captured three days ago while they were taking a break from playing.
A few minutes later, here he is being all playful to his Achi. They do have a love-hate thing going on. Sure they fight, they scream at each other and they even throw things at each other. They’re kids and that’s how it usually is with siblings. But what I like about them is that they would always protect each other when it comes to other people, especially strangers. I love these two sweaty but not anymore amoy-pawis babies of mine!

Try to prevent amoy pawis by consistently changing sando and putting a newspaper at the back of my kids.. they say newspaper are much better than towel.. it absorbs the sweat much quickly than a towel.

As a soon-to-be mom, I plan to wash my son with a toddler wash at least twice a day to prevent the amoy-pawis smell. I will also put on a baby powder after.
