It’s been more than four months since I had my hair colored red. It garnered positive & pleasant reaction from people as they love how it gives a refreshing characteristic to my hair. I admit, I was at first hesitant to have my hair colored to something bright & loud but I realized, life is too short to have boring hair right? Also, if I don’t try it now, when? Fastforward to 2015 and the new year urged me to do something about my hair. So when Angela of Lush Angel invited me to visit Hairshaft Salon at The Podium, I didn’t hesitate and off I went one lazy afternoon with her and her sister.
If Hairshaft rings a bell, it is because a lot of celebrities come here to have their hair colored, styled and treated. Some celebrities who come to Hairshaft are Ellen Adarna, Sofia Andres, Jana Victoria, Chico Garcia, Roxanne Guinoo and Bangs Garcia.

I didn’t have any expectations before I came to Hairshaft. All I know is that I wanted something new for my hair. Whether it was a treatment or style, I was just itching for a change even if it wasn’t as extreme as being a red head.
Here’s my photo before Fred of Hairshaft Salon assessed my hair.
My red hair has already faded (still I love the color) and my roots were already showing. When Fred asked me what I wanted, I just told him I trust his instincts on what would suit me. So I let him do his magic.
Hairshaft was packed during our visit. I actually Jana Victoria & Roxanne Guinoo having their hair made as well. After two hours or so, I came out still a red head. Fred insisted I keep this vibrant color since this year’s color is Marsala. Might as well wear this year’s color to attract more positive, good vibes e?
Root retouch, highlights and lowlights were done to my hair to give it depth & tone. Ay lavett!
