I swear if I didn’t have anything else to do, I would all day, everyday do makeup (spoken like a true makeup lover! Hahahaha) well not really but you get my drift. 😉 I was supposed to do a video for this but my phone didn’t have enough memory to accommodate (which reminds me, I need to delete more, more photos!) hahahuhu. Pramis, I’ll make videos soon and I’ll start with my 5-minute makeup using 5 products. But for now, here’s a quick feature on Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes Eyes, Lips & Cheeks palette. This palette was given to me over the holidays but haven’t gotten around using it until recently.
Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes Eyes, Cheeks + Lips Palette, Php 1,250
I’ve been seeing palettes from different brands lately. Is it a trend or has palette been essential ever since? I honestly don’t know but I’m glad there are more than a few for us to discover and try.
Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes palette has six eyeshadows, two lipsticks, two lip glosses, and a blush. The palette also comes with a small mirror and a small lip, blush and sponge tip brush.
Five of the six eyeshadows are metallics and only one is matte. As seen on the photo, it’s basically a warm-toned palette.
Leftmost is the swatch of the blush–its peachy shade has a bit of shimmer. Same goes for the pink shades of the lipglosses & lipsticks–sheen with a bit of shimmer–the more opaque swatches are the lipsticks.
Here’s what Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes Eyes, Lips & Cheeks palette looks on me. I blended the three lightest eyeshadow shades as my eye base, used the three other remaining darker shades to create a dimension for my almond eyes. I applied the blush on my cheeks and mixed the three lightest lipstick and lip glosses to create that natural pinkish lips. Since the palette isn’t complete, I used other products. Bobbi Brown Light Cushion Compact + MAC Studio Fix Powder for base, K-Palette 3-Way Lasting Eyebrow Pencil for brows, Dolly Wink eyeliner to line my eyes, and Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara for my lashes. That’s it! 🙂
I honestly can’t remember the last time I wore lipgloss! Well technically I’m wearing one third lipstick, two thirds lipgloss. Ang light sa lips, di ako sanay (not used to it) heehee.
What I like about Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes Eyes, Cheeks + Lips Palette is…
…it can let you create a no-make up to almost smokey eyes look (basta dapat best in blending).
…you can easily blend the shadows and the lip products to create a totally unique shade for yourself (mix, mix, mix).
…it’s handy and you can tote it in your bag (keri sya for biglaang touch ups).
But I wish Revlon 100 Romantic Nudes Eyes, Cheeks + Lips Palette is…
…less chalky. Upon swiping my brush I immediately noticed its chalky consistency, you can even see it in the photos.
…has better color payoff. Because of it’s chalky consistency, don’t expect it to be pigmented. Though on a plus side, it’s easy for beginners to use because t’s easier to build kasi nga it’s not as pigmented.
…less expensive. Since the eyeshadows & blush have chalky consistency, I wished it was priced for less.
I think I’ll use this palette on days when I need a quick fix (read: light makeup) and don’t want to think of individual products to put on my face. 🙂
