This skirt kinda girl took a break from wearing skirts as my legs displayed red patches due to skin allergies. I blame the weather, the water and whatever (hormones? food? allergens I’m not aware of?) it is that’s causing my skin to go crazy. While my legs are better now, a few weeks not being to wear my favorite dress or skirt made me miss it. So here’s an outfit post that’s about two of my favorite pieces: flowy top & skirt.
While I’m drawn to white, black and gray, I find cream and light pink equally attractive. I think my wardrobe and outfit color palette preference has something to do with the color of my hair. This plus the the rainy season have led me to go all neutral, hating neglecting all the colourful things in my closet.
Please deadmabells the huge line of crease on the blouse. Shet. I wasn’t able to iron it out pala. Eh ayoko naman i-photoshop ‘coz I don’t have the skills to do so. Heehee.
I knew this was a good outfit to wear on a day full of meetings and events as it made me look presentable. Again, my style is uncomplicated. It’s backbone is all about balance and contrast. Loose top = fit bottom. Plain = print. That’s how it goes for me. Although from time to time I veer away from focusing on balance and contrast.
Top it with a blazer to make it more appropriate for important meetings. Change the heels with nude flats should you want to make the look more casual. Di ba kasi one looks more approachable when wearing flats than heels?
The lace skirt combined with heels makes the look more romantic & up-to-the-minute.

This made me laugh – “Please deadmabells the huge line of crease on the blouse. Shet. I wasn’t able to iron it out pala. Eh ayoko naman i-photoshop ‘coz I don’t have the skills to do so.” I love that your OOTDs are so nice and applicable for even us average janes who have meetings and whatnots to go to. 🙂
when it comes to dressing up though, when it’s gloomy weather, i find myself sporting brighter colors. it makes me a lil happier despite the weather.
