Last month I visited House Of Obagi Center For Dermatology for the first time. I was supposed to try their facial but since I just had it days prior to my visit, I tried their IPL treatment instead.
Currently, their Robinsons Galleria clinic is under renovation so off I went to their Greenbelt clinic where Dr. Lacson, the Medical Director of HOO met with me prior to my treatment.
Did you know that HOO has been in the beauty industry for a decade now? It’s main focus is healthy skin and with its triple threat arsenal of prescription-strength Obagi Medical Products, Board-certified Dermatologists, and effective in-office treatments. You’re assured that your skin is in good hands.
Aside from the basic facial and laser treatments, HOO now offers a wide range of other specific services such as HOO 360 Series (360 Erase, 360 Renu, 360 Acne and 360 Bare), which are highly specialized skin treatment programs for individual issues of the skin with a promise of results – credit this to HOO’s expert knowledge on skin and its roster of Board- certified Dermatologists.
I opted for laser hair removal for my legs. I’ve been doing laser hair removal for years now and I’m doing it once in a while as “maintenance” for those stubborn fine hair.
As preparation my legs were applied with EMLA (numbing cream) to help make the laser treatment more comfortable for me. It’s actually a first for me to have EMLA applied prior to a laser treatment.
Quick tip: if you’re planning to have any body part lasered, best to do it a week prior to your beach trip. Clinics such as HOO won’t do a laser treatment on any sunburnt or tanned skin.
Dr. Lacson was the one who did the laser treatment on me using their Lightsheer Laser. It’s a diode machine which produces a laser beam of highly concentrated light which is then absorbed by the pigment found in the hair follicles. The laser pulse lasts for a fraction of a second, long enough to heat up the hair and impede the follicle’s ability to re-grow hair.
The treatment lasted for about 40-60 minutes because I had my full legs lasered. The result? Hair-free legs ready for summer!
Thank you Dr. Lacson and the team behind House Of Obagi for my laser hair removal. Take advantage of HOO laser hair removal promo that’s perfect for summer!
