I still have two more Baguio food posts. Pardon the delay of posting, like what I said during my Blogopolis 2015 talk, I do spacing and divide my blog’s content weekly, dedicating one post per category per week. This’ll give my categories, equal chance to shine. Meganon? Anyway, I almost forgot that I have two more food finds when we visited Baguio over the holidays. While it’s a must to dine at well-known restaurants around Baguio City, we opted to try new cafes & restaurants and Everything Nice is one of them. It was our first time to dine here and for something that has a generic name, I like that it offers more than the usual coffee & cafe food.
Everything Nice serves comfort food, cakes and coffee.
It’s cozy and the ambiance, very homey.
While we were waiting for our table, I took the liberty to take photos of the menu for your reference, should you decide to dine here on your next Baguio visit.
Lil’ Mr. GJG too kyoooot making pa-cute while waiting for our food.
Shempre pati vinegar & fish sauce may photo op! 😉
Our orders arrived a few minutes after we were seated inside the cafe. My family knows me too well because they were so patient with me when I asked if I can take photos first before the dive in on their food. 🙂 I guess they’re so used to me taking pictures that they don’t really mind waiting a few more seconds before they eat. Awwwww, supportive lang no? 🙂
So here’s what we ordered at Everything Nice Cafe.
Abuelita’s Adobo P185
Abuelita’s Moist and Savory Pork Recipe in Adobo Liver Sauce.
The pork was cooked just right and the sauce had enough sour & salt to it. This kind of dish would make anyone want a second serving of rice just because the sauce was too good to waste.
Baguio Longganisa P165
Renowned Baguio Longganisa Cooked ’til Golden Brown. Served with Garlic Rice, 2 Eggs & Atchara.
Never leave Baguio without trying their famous Baguio Longganisa. Everything Nice Cafe’s version reminds me of my mom’s homecooked longganisa. It was comforting to eat despite having to worry about my longgaburp after. :p
Callos P195
Carefully Simmered Beef Tripe in Olive Oil, Chorizo, Herbs & Tomatoes. Served with Bread or Balatinao Mix Rice.
I’m not a fan of Callos but I find Everything Nice good. The beef was tender and the oil & tomato sauce complimented each other well, although the sauce was a bit runny (read: malabnaw) still, it was a good dish.
Homemade Beef Tapa P195
Delicately Marinated Beef Pieces Cooked Til Tender. Served with Garlic Rice & 2 Eggs.
Aaaah, you see tapa is one of my weaknesses when it comes to food. I don’t think I can eat Tapa without rice. It’s too much of a sacrifice! Heehee. And when it’s cold, don’t you just like to stuff yourself with food until you feel lethargic enough to move? Everything Nice’s Homemade Tapa did not disappoint me. Tender thin strips marinated to perfection. Kulang ang one cup of rice! Also, I had to ask for spicy cane vinegar to pair the tapa with. Definitely worth the calories. 😉
Basil Pesto Ala Creama P190
Penne Pasta Tossed in Homemade Basil Pesto. Topped with Sauteed Mushroom, Zucchini, Bell Pepper & Fish Fillet in Cream Sauce & Parmesan Cheese. Served with Bread.
Panalo this! My kids are suckers for anything pasta, particularly gourmet pasta and Everything Nice’s Basil Pesto is da bomb! They finished this all by themselves and have requested me to make them one at home. Ay, medyo na-challenge lang ako, I don’t think I can hack this one because it was perfectly delicious. I assume they used fresh herbs to create that pesto sauce- something I don’t think I can do because of time constraints. I ain’t a fan of pesto but this one is an exemption. The right balance of pesto married with the cream makes it a flavourful and hearty meal.
Mango Cheesecake P99
Of course I didn’t pass on the chance to have dessert even if I was full already. As I say, there’s always room for dessert!
I would usually order anything chocolate but because this is our first time at Everything Nice, I had to get their recommendation when it comes to their best sellers for desserts and so we had this Mango Cheesecake. The cheesecake wasn’t heavy, the crust was just right and although I find the hint of mango lacking. Still, it was something my kids & I, well even Mr. GJG who isn’t a fan of desserts, enjoyed.
Mango Cheesecake, gone in 60 seconds. Heehee. I was tempted to get another slice but I figured that’s pushing it for my belly. Heehee.
They also have cookies in a jar for sale among other take out products they have.
Everything Nice Cake Shop & Cafe is a great restaurant to try when you’re in Baguio. Perfect for families who have kids too because they have an extensive menu. To everyone who’s in Baguio right now, please eat some Baguio longganisa & Mango Cheesecake for meeeee!
