Soap has always been my basic skin care product growing up. I know beauty junkies & skin care aficionados would raise an eyebrow on this. But before you ladies do, allow me to share that during my teenage years, soap has helped me achieve good skin and I never had any skin care problems- no pimples and no dryness, nada, just clean, soft skin.

My young, good skin was a result of using beauty soaps daily and one of which was Dove Beauty Bar. I remember my mom would hide her stash in her closet because I use it generously. Up to now, I still use soap on my face from time to time, but I admit I don’t wash my face with soap alone for more than three days. So when Dove challenged me to wash my face with Dove Beauty Bar for 7 days, I gladly took it. I like challenges & I like to know if the result would be the same as when I was younger.

Here’s my skin after 7 days washing with Dove Beauty Bar. See the faint glow? I admit, I didn’t expect I would see much of a difference given that it was just 7 days, but I was surprised at how Dove Beauty Bar made my skin soft and smooth. It brought back memories of when I was in my teens and soap being my ultimate skin care. Contrary to what we think that soaps tend to leave our skin dry, with Dove Beauty Bar it was the opposite. My skin was a tad bit plump and soft like it was injected with moisturizer from within. I never thought I’d rekindle my liking with soaps until I took the #Dove7DayTest.

I’m a bit more confident now to sport a barely-there make up look. I just dusted powder, groomed my brows, lined my eyes and curled my lashes and I’m all set (lipstick to follow, LOL).
