Whenever I hear the words “comfort dressing” I am reminded of pyjamas, lounge wear, and anything that can make one feel cozy and warm. I don’t think I can confidently pull off pyjama dressing. And to veer away from the usual loose yet comfy outfit, I decided to do my own interpretation (dance interpretation?!) of comfort dressing.
Comfort dressing for me is about being comfortable yet confident. Not worrying if the look is good enough to get me through the day because I know the comfort it gives me will definitely get me through.
The moment I spotted this top at one of my favorite stores, I knew I just had to get it. So not only did I get it in white, I also got it in black. Heehee.
Aside from the obvious pyjama pants, a pair of jeans can also be considered a staple when it comes to comfy dressing. As long as it fits you perfectly and you can move around with it, then it’s a good pair!
At dahil umuulan lately at medyo bipolar ang weather (because it’s raining and the weather is bipolar), I almost always bring an outwear with me wherever I go. I believe an outer wear takes the cake when it comes to comfy dressing. It gives that cuddle feel di ba? Aminin! Lakas maka-cozy ng cardigan or jacket.
You’ve seen me wear this look during the Heatwave Shoes launch.
When in doubt, layer! If you find your outfit too plain, add a piece or two to spruce it up. In my case, since I always tend to forget to add accessories to my outfit, I make it appoint to add levelling (yeeeees, levelling!) to my ensemble. See how the mid-rise jeans compliments the semi-hanging top while the long cardigan puts them well together. Keri na maging comfy!
This look works either on lazy days or full days. Keri ko to run around and walk a thousand miles (Vanessa Carlton, is datchu?!) 😀
No comfy look is complete without a comfy pair of shoes.
