I live on dresses and could wear it everyday. For me, a dress is easy and essential. For whenever I have no time to put up a good outfit, I would rely on dresses as I would feel so well put together wearing one. So when Roselle of CocoChicka sent me some of her chic clothes, I was happy to know she has pretty dresses!
Roselle quit her job back in 2008 to focus on her family, but that didn’t stop her from pursuing her dream to create streamlined clothes for women that they can wear on different occasions, and from day to night. Her background in beauty & fashion plus a degree in Clothing Technology paved way to enrich her aesthetics and confidence that eventually, she decided to put up her online business which she named- CocoChicka.
CocoChicka is a beautiful young baby of owner Roselle and is a product of her love for jersey, knit and stretchable fabrics (oh we love the same things) that she discovered when she was pregnant. She particularly fell in love with knits because its easy on the body. CocaChicka’s core line is their multiway dresses which (I shall feature next time) she initially focused on but further decided to offer easy-to-wear pieces that are still elegant and stylish but has a chic twist to it, making the brand a staple for dress lovers like me as it exudes effortless fashion.
I’m not really a tent (loose) dress kind of girl as I find the fit and cut unflattering to me but when I tried on this Anya trapeze dress, I immediately loved it.
The asymmetric cut gives a certain charm to the dress, contrasting the simple neckline. Its definitely something that I like as I can dress it down or dress it up by editing it with appropriate elements depending on how you want to wear it.
Cinch the waist with a belt and you get to show off the beautiful asymmetric hem even more.
By the way, this was what I wore during the No Hope Lost event.
I’m so in love with the hem! It makes me feel and look so feminine, giving the right hint of sexy without really revealing too much.
I’m very partial to jersey fabric especially when its a dress because it tends to be wrinkle free. And I love that its flattering because sometimes jersey dresses can be a bit tricky to wear as certain cuts can reveal one’s most kept bulge emphasized. Now I wish this dress comes in different colors as it perfectly hides my flabby lower abdomen.
Did I mention it has side pockets? Yes, yes it has.
THE OUTFITEY:
Anya trapeze dress: CocaChicka
Orange snakeskin sandals: Zara
Thank you again Roselle for introducing CocaChicka to me. I love, love, love wearing dresses talaga & I’m excited to feature another CocaChicka dress soon.
