One school day, I asked lil’ Ms. GJG if she wanted to go on a date with me.
ME: Hey Ach! You want after school let’s go to the mall for a date?
LMG: Ummmm okay!
She’s not really hard to convince especially if it’s about spending some time with me. Moments like this really makes my heart melt. I don’t know when she’ll stay this way, so I’m taking advantage by paving ways & giving opportunities for some quick girl bonding and dates with her. So off we went to SM Megamall for our date. We bought a few essentials and used some of her holiday money to buy a dress she picked out herself. After enjoying our time strolling around, I asked where she wanted to have dinner.
ME: Ach, are you hungry? Where do you want to eat?
LMG: There! That one with bright letters!
She spotted Chelsea Kitchen, sitting at the entrance of Mega Fashion Hall.
Whenever we eat out, we give our kids the freedom to pick their own food. Same with our date, I asked lil’ Ms. GJG what she wanted to eat. Good thing Chelsea Kitchen’s menu included some photos of their dishes.
I love the extensive menu. They even have sets for the family.
My kyooooot date giving me as smile after ordering her food & waiting for her drink.
“Mom, take a picture of my nose drinking mango juice!”
I don’t get why she finds this too funny but I got along because she was having so much fun!
After a few minutes our orders have arrived.
Open Faced BLT Deluxe P320
2 kinds of bacon, fried egg, arugula, tomato and remoulade sauce.
I’m not really a fan of “soggy bacon” but this one included in my BLT was good. It balanced out the crispy bacon, adding texture to the dish.
Truffled Mushroom Cream & Bacon Spaghetti P320
The creamy pasta was lil’ Ms. GJG’s order. She loves gourmet pasta so much and this one did not disappoint. When I asked her how she finds the food, she gave it a thumbs up. She almost finished this plate all by herself had I not had a taste of it.
The food that we ordered are good for sharing. Not bad for the average price of P200-P300 per dish, so expect to shell out about P1,000 for two people. I’m willing to spend on food as long as it’s delicious and I have to say, Chelsea Kitchen is one of the few that made me want to eat truffle pasta & BLT on a regular basis. We enjoyed dinning at Chelsea Kitchen and hopefully we can bring our boys with us next time.
