Another preggy outfit post. I was still able to fit into my old dress which I’ve only used thrice since I bought it. The combination of knit and tweed that looked like a twofer dress is very versatile. Can be worn casually or in a more formal occasion, all you need is the right pair of shoes and accessories to match.Β Β The bateau neckline and full skirt of the dress spells very much of the 1950s and who’s the girl who can sport this kind of dress? Well no other than style icon Audrey Hepburn of course. Here are some images of the 1950s style.
Spot my baby bump! Pardon the very awkward posture that very much spells kampanerang kuba (hunchback of Notre Dame, Anne Curtis version) to begin with I already have a bad posture but pregnancy always makes it worse. The weight of my growing boobs and belly seem to be the culprit of my very bad posture.
I would usually style this dress with a lovely pair of heels, accent it with a stand out belt and a bunch of bangles but this time around I opted a different look. One that spells chic despite wearing it with flats and looking semi-pregnant with a hint of belly bump that might be interpreted as a result from over eating a buffet meal.
Please don’t mind my face as it is officially the home of multiple families of pimples, so as to veer away from the state of my face I opted to wear a bright colored lipchook. Please turn your attention to the lovely statement necklace and stand out animal print connector ring for that oomph factor instead, thank you. π
I was finally able to wear my newest pair from Tory. Since I’m on a shopping ban as a sacrifice for Lent, I consider this as a mutual push present from my husband and myself *heehee* He made me promise not to buy shoes for a year because of how costly this pair is. But hey, I don’t mind since I’m on a high heels ban for the next 5 months or even until after I give birth. Might as well wear a comfy and pretty pair of flats eh? *this is me convincing you all & justifying* (pagbigyan nyo na ko, buntis naman eh!) π
THE OUTFITEY:
1950’s style dress: Plains & Prints
Flats: Tory Burch
Purse: Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille Bag
Necklace and connector ring:Β For Hailey And Five Accessories
Bright orange lipstick: MAC Morange
I definitely have a growing belly so the next outfit posts are going to be a challenge. My styling skills will surely be put to the test. As of present, I am scouting on Ebay for those one of a kind pieces that I could pull off as my maternity wear so stay tuned.
That’s all!
