American food, particularly burgers and fries are my favorite. I even craved for well-done juicy, meaty & flavourful beef burger on both my pregnancies with the lil’ GJGs. I guess for me burger is a comfort food that once consumed, everything feels better. Heehee. One no-school weekday, I asked lil’ Ms. GJG on a date. She gladly said yes so off we went to Greenhill Promenade and treated ourselves at Slammin’ Mini Burgers & Fries & Dips.
For burger lovers like me, I’m sure you’re all familiar with Slammer Burgers. It’s Slammin’ Mini Burgers’ predecessor. According to owner, Patrick, they decided to take the existing brand to a new direction. With the restaurant upgrading their whole culture, look and logo, one thing they want to highlight that remained the same, if not better is their mini burgers.
Good to know that Slammin’ uses fresh ground chuck for their burgers. I love it when restaurants offer only the best for their customers. It’s a sure way to make people come back for more.
It’s not just mini burgers, it’s an all American sliders. Here’s an anatomy of a slider.
Apart from sliders, Slammin’ also has picks from the farm and limited edition ones such as Fish N’ Chips and The Black Box Series.
The open kitchen lets you see how your food is cooked. Plus points for Slammin’ for having a clean kitchen and well-trained staff who are very hygienic.
Slammin’ also caters! Call (02) 584-8103 and look for Larny.
I was curious to try their limited edition sliders. So I ordered them while lil’ Ms. GJG ordered Fish N’Chips.
Fish N’ Chios at Php 185. 5 pieces of beer battered fish + fries + dip.
My Black Box Series at Php 265. Meet John Candy, Romeo + Juliet and Big Kahuna.
John Candy is made up of 100% beef patty, cheddar cheese, honey cured bacon, sauteed onions and salted caramel, Romeo + Juliet has strawberry jam & salted butter instead of onions & caramel, while Big Kahuna has pineapple chanks, sriracha mayo and teriyaki glaze.
The trio burger looks bitin at first glance, clearly I underestimated it. As I was halfway through my second slider, did I feel I’m almost full.
Lil’ Ms. GJG’s loving her Fish N’ Chips. While Slammin’ burgers is nice to eat with friends or during lunch break, it’s also a perfect theatre snack. Hungry hippo while watching the latest movie? Get Slammin’! Afraid you’ll go hungry while stuck in traffic on your way home or elsewhere? Get Slammin’!
Every bite is Slammin’ being the restaurant’s motto, truly has lived up to it. Lil’ Ms. GJG loved the crunchy fish fillet. While I savoured the limited edition Black Box series. Thank you so much Pat & Monette for having me & lil’ Ms. GJG. We’ll be doing more brunch dates so do expect us to come back! 😉
