As I was sorting out photos I’ve uploaded on my laptop, it made me realize that time really flies when you’re having fun or in most cases, it flies when you’re busy! August went by so fast parang hindi ko naman naramdaman.
The last week of August was the busiest for the JGs because of the double birthday celebration in our family. My lil’ Mr. JG & I celebrate our birthdays a few days apart. While lil’ Mr. JG celebrated his birthday with his classmates, (I’ll share his school party on a separate post) I spent it with my family at Seda Hotel in BGC.
It was a long weekend and initially, we wanted to head out to the beach and just enjoy the sun, sand and sea. But since the weather was crazy bipolar, we decided it’s best to stay in the city.
And what better way to do this than a staycation?
This cute lil’ bear encouraged us to do another staycation at Seda Hotels. This time we stayed at Seda Hotel BGC for my birthday weekend.
Staying in Seda isn’t new to us ‘coz we’ve already experienced the Seda service during our stay at Seda Hotel in Nuvali.
They offer the same facility and amenities such as the e-lounge, club lounge, meeting rooms, pool and fitness center. The e-lounge is where you get to use an iMac for free and it is conveniently located at the lobby. Although, Seda BGC is smaller than the one in Nuvali, still we felt the same hospitality and service.Free WiFi access for guests and it doesn’t prompt one to enter any user name or password. I lavett!
Our Deluxe King room that’s perfect for a family of four (that is if your children are young, aged 7 and below). We requested for an extra bed so the kids can have their own space.
The view from our 9th floor room is BGC High Street.
Of course my water babies immediately asked if they can swim.
While the kids swim, Mr. JG & I sweat it out in the gym.
Our steady Sunday went by so fast that after a few hours lounging in the pool, it was time for dinner. I had my pre-birthday salubong (the last dinner I’ll be in my 20s! Heehee) at Misto in Seda BGC.
“Waiter, can I have one high chair please!” 😀
This lil’ boy trying to order his food. Good thing there are pictures on the menu so it’s easy for him to point out what he wants. Heehee.
The JGs ready to eat! 😀
When dinning at Misto, one must try this Spicy Shrimp!
After having dinner, we put the kids to bed so we can continue my birthday salubong with friends. We had a steady night at Straight Up Bar at the roof deck of Seda BGC.
Did you know that you can get a complimentary buffet of canapés for any order of alcoholic drinks? Yes you can! Apericina at Straight Up is offered daily from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening.
Lakas maka-birthday girl talaga ng pwesto ko! Hahaha. Our good friends Rach & Carlo, Peter & Haze celebrated with me. My #dirtythirty isn’t really as dirty as planned. We were cozy lounging and drinking wine and champagne talking about current events and family life. Lakas maka-Tita/Tito di ba?! But still, I wouldn’t want to celebrate it any other way. Thank you for coming guys!
My grade school friends Marielle & Dhea also celebrated with me along with their husbands who were busy chatting about cars and other “it’s a guy thing” topics with Mr. JG kaya walang group photo! Heehee.
Big 3-0! Well sabi naman nila 30 is the new 20. Sige na nga. Thanks to all who greeted and thanks again to everyone who celebrated with me, both online and offline. It always makes turning a year older more fun. 😀
Despite turning in late, we managed to wake up just in time for breakfast. Because buffet breakfasts are always my favorite, kahit na may slight hang over pa, go lang!
Birthday breakfast! Busog lusog to grabe. This is why I really push myself to workout every single day because I really love eating. 😀 The taho was fresh, as well as the assortment of baked pastries. Yum!
Thank you again Seda BGC for the birthday cakes! 🙂
Turning 30 really isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. As cliche as it may sound, family is really the best gift for me. Thank you God for another year and for being able to spend it with my family and friends.
Now if you plan on doing a staycation or just have a good time with your friends at Straight Up, you might want to try Seda Hotels because you can get a chance to win an accommodation and round trip airfare with their #bestfeelingsintheworld promo.
