New hair, new backdrop, new camera. Debuting all these on this week’s OOTD post. I do have a ton of outfits to shoot and being a momma is challenging me to multitask & it ain’t easy. My SS (sariling sikap) team sometimes feel overwhelmed when it comes to the things I need to accomplish. Alam nyo naman, it’s all me, myself & I when it comes to producing my OOTD posts. So for this one, all out na talaga as I exerted twice the effort in making this happen. I shot this during the window hour I had before I pick up lil’ Ms. GJG from school. This, plus the gloomy weather (so hard to shoot if you only use natural light), attending to lil’ Mr. GJG all while in between doing the laundry & simmering dinner. Hindi naman halata what was going on in the photos but I just like to share so you all know that it takes guts to be a Gutierrez (charaught!) effort talaga to make a decent OOTD post so thank you for appreciating. All the hard work I put into it is so worth it!
I am really loving white lately which makes me invest more on it too. It’s not the most figure flattering color but it sure is one of the classics that we must have. Such is this button down shirt dress that I’ve practically used many times, especially for events when I needed to look polished & effortless. Truly, it’s a no-brainer outfit.
It’s also easy to pair with your favorite accessories. You can go wild and add touch of colors or prints but then again, why complicate something beautifully simple?
At sa pagka-wild ng red ng hair ko, it’s a statement itself. First time to don a bright colored hair and so far, I’m loving it!
In this photo, I was contemplating whether I should run to the kitchen to check what I’m cooking or to have my hair cut shorter. True story.
First OOTD shoot I did using my new gadget, a Sony Nex 5n. I’ve been looking for a decent yet not so expensive camera. Since all I ever use is the auto setting of it, I decided I won’t invest on a super advance & techie one. So I got a second hand one, keri naman. I need to get use to it as I was a Canon user for the longest time. So far, I love it. It’s compact and it shoots great photos. Although, I still have to master the focus as it tends to blur some parts of the photo. Best in bokeh yata ang Nex 5n bilang madaming blurred lines!
I wanted to shoot at my lil’ corner where I usually take my OOTDs, but the lack of light made it impossible to produce quality photos. I tried using flash but horror, the light bounced back lang & everything is just weird looking. For now this’ll be my new setup, unless our building’s common area aka the topiary wall clears up, which I hope is anytime soon.
