I finally tried Yabu The House Of Katsu. This was one of the few posts I’ve been meaning to share but photos got lost along with lots of other folders waiting to be organized. I together with my SoMoms friends had a late lunch after we went crazy shopping at SM Fashion Forum.ย ย More than three hours of drooling and fitting the lovely clothes and shoes with matching chikahan portion, we got hungry and checked out Yabu. It was past 1 pm but somehow the restaurant was still packed.
Because I love chicken, I focused on their chicken set menu.
Jerry, our server was very courteous and knowledgable with their menu. Ask a question about each dish and he’ll glad answer you and even recommend something you might like.
Here’s my Chicken Katsu Set at 310 php. You get an unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing. I love their chicken katsu for its crunchy & crispy outside and tender inside, one cup of rice isn’t enough.
My lunch mate and co-SoMom Eli of The Painter’s Wife blog. Look at these S&B spices! I am a sucker for these as I love spicy food! ๐
The most intriguing part of dinning at Yabu is grinding your own bowl of sesame seeds. As soon as you start working on it, you’ll immediately smell the flavorful sesame as it releases an inviting scent. I immediately pour some over my Japanese white rice. Did I mention a set menu includes unlimited rice?! Yes, I had two cups so don’t judge. I was often times mocked as a kargador coz I eat like one! ๐
The set also comes with a miso soup.
Japanese rice, pickels and a bowl of fruit.
I’m looking forward to dinning at their Robinsons Magnolia branch and date Mr. GJG who’s a Yabu virgin LOL. I’ll update this post so stay tuned.
