They say it’s more expensive when your kid is a girl because there can never be enough cute and adorable clothes, shoes and accessories for your little princess. While this is really true in most cases, I have actually found a way to eliminate spending much for Gabbie’s clothes, shoes and the like.
Like most moms, I always try to be practical even though it is super hard to resist buying cute and adorable things for Gabbie somehow I’ve managed. The trick is I buy clothes a few sizes bigger same goes for her shoes. As for her clothes, I’ve been buying her tops that are meant for toddlers even when she was just a few months old. She’d wear them as a dress then and now as a top.
Here’s one top I bought when she was a few months old.
Gabbie about 5 months old with Daddy.
Gabbie wearing this top as a dress.
Fast forward now that she’s 2 years old and 5 months.
How fast is it that she’s grown up?! See the difference and the practicality of buying clothes that you can use for your daughter for as early as a few months old until she becomes a toddler? Not only will you save a few hundred pesos but it’s also a good start in becoming a green (eco-friendly) mom. It is definitely very practical and reasonable, the bonus is that I bought this top on sale! 😉 Now I’m wondering how I can pull this off with my second child who’s a baby boy? That’ll be a challenge but we’ll see.
THE OUTFITEY:
Braided watercolor top: Zara
Jeans: Guess (hand me down from her cousin)

hahaha! know what, with my youngest, since yung age difference niya with my 2nd one is 7 years, most of her clothes are newly bought. and I did the same thing, bought clothes and shoes at the most, one size bigger para matagal ang gamit. when it comes to the old clothes, na pang-alis nung 2 older ones ko, I kept some para may magamit si amaya ko. and it is super effective. hahaha! love! love! this one… 😀
