Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Pat yourself at the back for being your family’s protector, provider and knight in shining armor! I have written a post about this special occasion last year, read it here. This year we celebrated it through a staycation at Acacia Hotels (separate post for that), it was a relaxing weekend spent in honor of our favorite man, my hubby and Gabbie’s dad. Luckily, I was able to persuade Mr. JG to share and answer a few questions as a Father’s Day tribute. I have to admit he’s a man of a few words but once he gets started he can really talk sense to anyone.

Here are the insights from Mr. JG about fatherhood.
Me: What are your thoughts on fatherhood?
JG: We will always have roles to play in each stage of our lives, I could say this stage is most taxing by far. Being a dad needs a whole lot of self sacrifice since adding roles to play will always need share of time. Besides, this is the only role in life that deals with the life of someone: your own blood. Nonetheless, seeing life begin once more is a privilege as it allows us to reminisce stages of our childhood. It is also a chance to improve our own lives through our child as we aid them and guide them to live better lives. Net, each child is simply a blessing and a responsibility.Me: How has fatherhood changed you?
JG: Priorities will always belong to the family now.Me: What’s your most memorable experience as a Father?
-JG: Seeing my first born, Gabbie.Me: What are the challenges you faced being a Father
JG: Its always time and how you juggle it between roles.Me: What you wished you knew or someone told you before you became a dad?
JG: I’d rather have it like this full of surprises, makes it more exciting and fulfilling.Me: Tips or advice you’d like to share with other Fathers.
JG: I would like to share three things:
1) Count your blessings – when time seems tough look around and you’ll see.2) Find time – there will always be a few minutes here and there to spend with your loved ones.
3) Keep it simple – life is short, time is gold, always find happiness and don’t make life more complicated as it is.
Short but sweet! Haha, thank you Mr. JG for gracing my blog! It is quite refreshing having a male’s point of view, hoping you can share more of what’s on your mind in the not so distant future! Maybe in two months time, I can once again feature you on how it feels like to be a father to two kids! :p

So I’m writing a Father’s Day post in honor of all the fathers and of course my husband, the father of my kids, Mr. GJG.
