I couldn’t think of any other title for this outfitey post other than the one I chose. With the sizzling hot temperature Metro Manila has been experiencing the past few weeks, the only thing running on my mind is imagining myself in Boracay with my family and just enjoying the cold water & sand on my feet.
Caftan as what Mother Jenni said on her blog is versatile and figure-flattering. I bought this kaftan a year or two ago at The Ramp in Shangri-La but haven’t had the chance to wear it mainly because I always feel like I can only wear it in a luxury resort in Boracay! That’s why I was very hesitant to use it. Two years after and pregnant with my second baby, with the tag still intact I decided to wear this resort-staple wear for the first time for a weekend stroll in the city.
The print reminds me much of a giraffe. :p
Weird that my husband doesn’t find the flutter sleeves flattering on me. I have a few flutter sleeved dresses/ tops and now that I’m pregnant, I realize it really doesn’t suit me. I feel fat and I think I can’t pull it off, I have to be super skinny to wear it. And yes even if I’m not pregnant did I realize I look weird wearing one. So to veer away from the flutter sleeves of this caftan dress, I decided to add a thin belt to emphasize my growing belly instead.
