Review & Giveaway: D-Nee Baby Products

As weird as this may sound but when I was pregnant with Gabbie I wasn’t as paranoid as I am now being pregnant with our second child. Maybe because I was exposed to taking care of my nieces when I was in my teens that I feel confident that I can manage on my own come the time I had my own child. I didn’t hoard on baby products mainly because I have my family who were supportive and have shared their inputs when it comes to their tried and tested products. But in my case now, I’m more paranoid than ever. I feel like viruses and germs can easily penetrate and that utmost care and protection are needed for the safety of my family.

You see Gabbie has a very sensitive skin. She has skin asthma so products such as cologne and baby powder were not used on her until now (although, I sometimes put cologne on her). Everything has to be mild and as much as possible natural so that her skin won’t get irritated, we use a mild bar soap to wash her clothes and even her bottles.

Now that I’m expecting my second child, I’m more paranoid as to what products I should use for him. With the rate of how viruses evolve, modern medicine just can’t keep up and the only thing mothers like me can do is prevent these tiny monsters from harming my family. I love D-nee liquid detergent. The smell is so mild and by the way it created enough soft bubbles as it enveloped on Gabbie’s clothes pretty much gave me the impression that it’s gentle. It has proven safe for babies & toddler’s skin because when I let Gabbie wear her clothes washed with D-nee there was definitely no irritation on her skin, there’s no need for fabric conditioner as clothes remained soft and smooth after washing.

Gabbie still has an appetite to drink milk at least four bottles (6 oz.) a day and yes, she still prefers drinking her milk in her bottle (not pressuring her to switch to a cup) so it’s a must that her bottles are cleaned almost all the time. The traditional old me would settle for rock salt and water to clean baby bottles or the mild soap I’ve mentioned earlier in this post, but because Gabbie’s milk tend to leave oil residue on her bottle it’s harder to remove with rock salt or mild bar soap alone. Imagine my delight when I tried D-nee bottle & nipple cleanser as it effectively removed the greasy, oily residue on Gabbie’s bottles & nipples but didn’t leave a squeaky clean feel that you mostly get when using harmful cleansers.
