I’ve always loved cooking, I think it’s something that I’m good at. I swear if my “dream kitchen” comes to reality I would label myself a “chef” LOL.
So seeing one of the blog post of Jenni Epperson regarding cooking classes by Glam-O-Mama , I was curious & excited at the same time. I checked it out & found it interesting & immediately reserved a slot.
Proper nutrition is often times neglected especially when it comes to a baby’s diet . As mothers we assume that in the first year of our child, milk has whatever nutrients our babies need. Thus, we never tend to know the nutritional requirement every child needs.
I’ve noticed that there aren’t much option of baby food in our local supermarkets and knowing how tedious preparing & making fresh meals can be a drag for most moms. But I, together with a few other moms were able to learn that it only takes 1 main ingredient of our choice to whip up healthy dishes (12 to be exact) that’ll take more or less 30 minutes of our time.
Here’s a look at the 1st Nutrition Class organized by Glam-o-Mamas together with Tiny Spoon.
The main ingredient is apple puree. (see the photo above)
Although the mommy cooks have also used potato, carrot & squash puree, it is not limited to those. If your little angel is one of those babies who don’t like vegetable much, you can “cheat” by disguising and or adding different vegetables in different dishes.
Word of the day was: CHEAT! I kinda like the context of it. LOL
This by far is my favorite dish. I never really like nor eat raisins but when I tasted this, it was so good!
Excited to cook this for my lil’ babe 🙂
Tip: Use colorful table setting and utensils such as plates, placemats and the likes. It’ll surely entice your little ones!
Oh, also I remember that the use of the color blue (plates & such) isn’t very enticing unlike that of the other hues.
Not appetite-appealing at all, so I’m sticking to orange, purple, green & yellow! ;p
My college friend Sarah Alconcel is a mom to a 6-month old baby boy, she’s also a blogger and is interested as well in learning more to be the best mother for her little one.
Thanks Amanda Griffin for this informative class. More events like this please!
Thanks mommy chefs Reb & Tina Lagdameo of Tiny Spoon
Looking forward to more productive classes!
