Sharing you all the famous Filipino style Macaroni soup without the need to use meat, since in this recipe I used hotdog.
Here’s wachunid:
(l-r small pack of elbow macaroni pasta, small cabbage, small carrots, 2-3 pcs. of hotdogs, 1 medium onion chopped, 2 cloves garlic chopped, a small can of evaporated milk, 1 tsp. oil & butter, 2 cups water-not in photo)
Three easy peasy steps:

Step 1: Cook pasta according to instruction on the package, set aside.
Tip: It’s best if you undercook your pasta for 2-3 minutes to maintain its al dente since you’re going to cook it again.

Step 2: Sauté garlic & onion in a tsp. of oil & butter, add hotdogs.

Step 3: Add in carrots & pasta.

Add water & simmer (low fire) for 10 minutes, on the last 5 minutes, drop in the cabbage. Stir occasionally.

Viola! Sopas
Season with salt & pepper according to taste. In each serving, swirl over evaporated milk.
Gabbie loves sopas! Ironically, she doesn’t eat hotdog nor is she a fan of meat. She digs in for carrots and pasta instead.
Prep time: 5 minutes (chopping of ingredients)
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Sopas is a staple in our household, perfect especially on rainy days as it is one of our comfort food.
Happy Tuesday!
